He wants to win a super bowl, because this is his last chance for one. Either he sees the niners or the saints as the team who can give him one. The Saints have Drew Brees, but we have the better defense, and the Saints look to be in big trouble right now and it's doubtful they win it all with all the bounty hullabaloo hanging over the heads every week.
So unless he works out with another team, I think he signs here if the niners want him.

it took Vd till weeek 10 to even get the offense
why would moss get the offense in 1 week?
there is a reason we had to promote some1 from the PS
Umm..can you say LOCKOUT? With a NEW head coach, with a NEW offensive scheme? Moss would easily grasp the playbook by week one with an entire training camp to work with. It took Alex awhile to learn the playbook too; and you can tell it did because the offense didn't open up its passing game that much until the first game against the Giants. Someone will say "omgz you call that opening the playbook omgz alex was still turrible ugh blah blah". Who else did he have to throw to? Overrated Michael Crabtree, whose proving to be a possession receiver at best?
Point is Randy will stretch the field. We still draft another WR, paired with Crabtree and Morgan and we have a FORMIDABLE WR core. At least then if one goes down, we won't have to resort to the junk squad to get another one.

lol He was explaining the reason we didn't sign Moss in the playoffs last year, not why we shouldn't sign him now.

you sureley mean second best QB and second best WR. The best of all time combo lived in SF for a while some guy named Monatan was thorwing to another named rice.

not why we wont sign him this year
my point was it too VD till that long to get the offense if we signed moss during the playoffs last year what would make him think he would get the offense so quickly
