CRABTREE, you going to have a good season this year?
Harbaugh showed how he handles distractions, they get cut. See Edwards, Braylon. If Moss starts his dive behaviour or does not produce he will ge cut very quickly.
I dont know any of the saints forums but will someone see if the fans wanted him and if they at talking about us signing him).. I'm curious their reaction

Think they all still hate us from the 80s, 90s and early 00's. They are hoping he causes our locker room to blow up. LOL, He will gone if he shows any signs of problems. They must not know our Harbaugh very well. Sounds like a bunch of the posters wanted to sign him though... said we will be out of the Colston running now. They can have him.

Welcome to the niners Mr. Moss!!! Write it down trizee (Crabtree) will have a breakout season this year. I don't know why people are hating on this move. If moss is nothing but a decoy he will make it easier for everyone around him. Teams have to respect him just because of what he can do.
superbowl bound! now sign wallace.
Noticed Moss was wearing 49ers gear during the workout.

Sounds good to me!!!
I like it.
I'm having trouble deciding if I'm excited about this.

I like the way you think. That's exactly what I want, but I think they'll go WR in the draft. But, you never know.

Me too. Wait and see I guess.
Mike and Mike (ESPN Radio) both said they liked the low rish high reward move to sign Moss.

I like it alot! I actually think the Niners may make a suprise signing (for example a young FA Corner). I also think they will re-sign Josh Morgan. I just dont see Trent Baalke signing a 31 year old corner back to a 4-5 year deal.
Randy Moss is one of the most prolific WRs in league history. If Jerry Rice never existed, we'd probably be sitting here debating who was the greatest between Moss and TO.

But I don't remember too much of his playing style when he was in his prime. To me, it just seemed like he'd run deep patterns and would simply burn defensive backs with his freakish speed and win jump balls. That takes a tremendous amount of body coordination and timing to make those jump balls and circus catches, but how are the rest of his skills?

We know, from watching many years of Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens, that a wide receiver in THIS offense just needs to be able to separate from a receiver within the first 2-8 yards, and then catch the ball. From there, their athletic skills would allow them to break tackles and pick up some YAC. That's how Rice and Owens made their money, and it's a different skill-set from what Moss has displayed over the years.

With Moss out of his prime, can he do those things? Obviously, the coaching staff will play to his strengths, and we will most assuredly see him streaking down the field as a deep threat, as either a primary target or a decoy. But our offense is sorely needing a guy who will move the chains on 3rd down and catch 80+ balls in a season.

I'm happy we've signed Moss. I have a good feeling about it. But I don't know if we've solved our WR problems. I imagine we're going to draft another WR with some upside in the draft, and hope he can evolve into a #1-type WR over the next few years. But at the moment... An aged-Moss, Crabtree, and Vernon Davis seems like a pretty serviceable group. It should take some heat off of Crabtree, and if Moss does indeed still have that deep speed... defensive coordinators will have a tricky time figuring out how to defend both Moss and Davis.

I'm looking forward to see how the coaching staff crafts the offense around our players in Year 2.
I view this exactly the way I viewed the Edwards signing. Very exciting, great possibilities and if it does not work out, no big deal.

I hope we haven't finished with wide receivers, though. Need more.
