this was much funnier in your head
So am I correct that this guy now has.......

~ 4 Felony counts
~ 2 DUI's
~ Multiple unexplained driving off the road incidents

?

3 felonies for gun charges. Felony bomb threat in an airport would make it 4?

Nice try

Freedom of speech card anyone? Lol he just said he has a bomb (tag sarcasm)

I don't think this is AS BAD as people on here/media is claiming.
Sure, its Aldon Smith and we've put up with BS before...

But lets think about the good side of this

1. Kap's antics are now out of the spotlight
2. We probably now get to pay Aldon for the bonehead he is, not the player

Freedom of speech has its limitations. You can't falsely shout "fire" in a crowded theater, you can't falsely claim to have a bomb in an airport and then be all like "lulz, I was joking."

Dumb, dumb, dumb boneheaded move by Aldon, dude needs to get a grip on his life and stop f**king up.
yells BOMB in airport

but but but freedom of speech all of a sudden makes it okay

Blame Trent. He cannot talk to the players

lol pretty much. Freedom of speech protects opinions and ideas. I'm pretty sure implying you're carrying a bomb into an airport is not protected speech.

Where is the proof he was intoxicated? If true the security would have never let him through.

No proof he was intoxicated. Keep in mind they let him through AFTER he made the "bomb" statement. So it's possible they suspected he was drunk, let him through anyways, then changed their mind and tracked him down at the gate.

Substitute "changed their minds" with "called the cops".

Yes, but couldn't they keep him at security until cops arrived? Why did they let him through in the first place?

TSA is not armed or trained for confrontation, and if they have any inkling someone might be dangerous, they back off and call the police.

But TSA can refuse to let him through security until the police come though.

Exactly. If someone has a weapon in their bag, they don't let the person through and call the cops after. They detain him at security and call the cops. Makes no sense allowing someone who failed the security check to enter the gate area.
Doesn't take a weapon. A man that size that acts belligerent will cause them to avoid confrontation and let the police take care of it, even if inside the screening machines, which is not a magic barrier. They are screeners only. They will want to ask him to stay put, but they won't want to push it.

Lol maybe he should have put it that way.

Then we wouldn't have all this. TMZ would report that Aldon Smith eloquently asks TSA to allow him to ensure his safety against terrorism on his flight.

I thought I'd try and stay away from this thread but I just can't.

ANYBODY TRYING TO DEFEND ALDON IS BEYOND NAIVE

On his end this is 4th or 5th run in with the law, he has 2 DUI charges, probably avoided a 3rd from that deer car accident, him being stabbed was his fault because of the crowd he was inviting into HIS home, he had guns that are illegal in CA in his home, and after going to rehab just 5 months ago for alcohol issues is drunk in public and says the ONE word you can never say in a airport.

All of that is on him.

SECONDLY STOP BASHING THE TSA, especially the LAX TSA.

This is an airport that is only 5 months removed from a deadly shooting during which a TSA agent was killed and several others including civilians were wounded. OF COURSE they will take this seriously, especially if in the midsts of a conversation he says "keep searching, I have a bomb". That isn't a "oh man last night was the bomb" slip of the tongue, drunk or not he directly stated that he had a bomb in his possession.

You may hate the TSA for how they "inconvenience" you but what they do is, contrary to popular opinion, actually very important and is a dangerous and stressful job.

For Christ's sake this is completely Aldon's fault and the onus is once again on the 49ers to see if they truly believe he can change or if we are going to essentially publicly acknowledge that he is worth his off-field trouble because of his on-field production.

I wish TMZ would post the entire video, not an edited copy but perhaps the FBI, LAPD, TSA won't allow it to be shown in its entirety because of the investigation.

Bottom line is Aldon has shown he is in danger of constantly f**king up. If we don't institute Dez Bryant Rules on him than he will eventually do something dangerous enough to harm someone else or himself or simply be banned indefinitely from the NFL. NFL teams have the power to indefinitely suspend players for "detrimental conduct" so you can bet the league has the power to do it as well.

I'm out. The last 20 pages of this thread showed me there is such a diverse range of thoughts, intelligence and knowledge or lack thereof that his thread is going to explode in the next few hours/days.

Seriously guys,
you are both idiotic

Seriously also my favorite part about bombs is that you had to bold my "tag sarcasm" spot
