The Aldon Smith thread

Probably the case. Seems like a poor attempt at humor.
For those who are saying to release him be careful. Pass rushers are are hard to find as qb look what happened when we lost Haley. I would keep Aldon over Kap.

I mean really what the hell are they thinking if they think someone made a serious bomb threat they do not go a step further into the airport unless its by force, and there is no report of Aldon forcing his way through security.

He didn't make the threat then go through security. He left the area of the original incident, then had police confront him and at that point made the threat and was immediately detained.

Maybe not even an attempt at humor, maybe more a snide comment towards the guards. In the report didnt it say his first question to the guards after the search was "thats was it?" maybe his comment was "what if i have/had a bomb" indicating there search tactics are poor. I know im reaching but it is possible and his smartassness caught up to him.
I could cAre less as long as he sacks the qb and wins a sb

I wouldn't consider what just happened with Kaep to be any kind of legal trouble.

technically i wouldn't either. But skip bayless (yes, him) said something about how even if kap is totally clean in this, his reputation could have a stain on it forever because people will still talk about it and i think hes right

I don't think what Aldon did was that bad. He was just trying to make a point. This TSA thing is ridiculous, a waste of time and just serves as a way to get people subservient to the government. This whole airport security system gives some of the psychologically challenged people who work at the TSA an opportunity to molest men, women, & children and get paid for it. I support Aldon. He just isn't one to back down. Stasi Goodell will carry out the dictates of our government and probably suspend Aldon for a number of games. It's unfortunate for the 49ers, but it's about time more people stand up the the TSA. People are getting molested every day.

I probably would too. We just made the Cowboys champions with that. Gotta keep him but we need to hire a permanent baby sitter and psychiatrist too.

where did you get that report? Barrows report said " A statement from airport police reads: "At approximately 1400 hrs, a 24 year-old Aldon Jacarus Ramon Smith, a resident of San Jose, California, was going through Terminal 1 screening where he made a comment indicating that he was in possession of a bomb. Los Angeles Airport Police made contact with him in the gate area where he became uncooperative."

We better not release him and I'm not worried the more I hear about this incident.

Meh, you don't really hear much about Roethlisberger. I wouldn't say reputation has totally been stained.

I see what you're saying though.
"@Eric_Branch: #49ers Aldon Smith was released at 7:02 p.m. from LAPD’s Pacific Community Police Station on $20,000 bail. Smith was never in jail."
Can we officially state by this point that Aldon is a certified moron? Every time he does something this dumb, he is costing himself a million plus dollars. I hope this latest incident, if true, was worth every penny.

We need a hire a person to babysit him with a dog's shock collar around Aldon's neck, and every time he wants to do something stupid, that person pushes the button.

This. Basically...f**k the TSA.

Yes, I understand that it may be a "dangerous" job but I don't think that means we should be respectful of them. I'm pretty sure that a lot more retail and fast food workers have been injured and even killed at work than TSA agents have. Most of them aren't doing it because they care about our safety. They're doing it for a paycheck, benefits, and to have authority.
