He has a very quick release and is accurate. So he possesses the right mechanics.
Three years with the Pats. He learned from the best and was good enough to be a second round selection coming out of a small school with zero hype.
Cassell is not an appropriate comparison. That team went 16-0 with Brady the year before he played. This version of NE is not nearly as talented and he played well.
But somehow a guy's stats at Clemson or NC plus "upside" should override this?
You may be reading a long discussion and just jumping in not knowing quitee what we're talking about.
I didn't say he can't succeed because of his size. 6'2. There's nothing wrong with his size. Just East Illinois could never be a 1st rounder with his average measurables.

Caseload had a solid second year on the chiefs in his second year of haleys system. Jimmy slings it better than Cassel hands down.
Harbaugh had a boner for Jimmy and even hosted his pro day.

I kind of like the fact that he has 3 years of Patriots coaching and practice habits.

I could name a ton of qbs that have the measurables you want and blow...more to it with the qb position

You may be reading a long discussion and jumping to conclusions. That was never my point. Just smaller guys fall in the draft. Deal with it.

Garrett & Garroppolo
I would be excited about having these two guys next year
Garrett alone would be exciting
Yes! Now this is what I call a successful offseason. Franchise changers on both sides of the ball. Garrett behind DeFo alone is a scary thought

Again, the same year he was drafted, 2 of the 3 1st round qbs were his size or smaller, as was the only other qb drafted ahead of him.

Brock and Glennon are 6-7 and 6-6...they were 3rd round picks

The Cassel comparison is lazy as hell.
That's like saying every Brett Favre backup is the same. Whether Mark Brunell, Matt Hasselbeck, Ty Detmer, Doug Pederson or Aaron Rodgers...
Totally different prospects and players.

All I'm asking for why they are the same qb

I have a question for all the Garropolo fans. If the Patriots (the team that knows him best) are willing to trade away Garropolo when Tom Brady is 40 years old, doesn't that say that they don't believe he can be a franchise QB for the next 10 years?

Tell that to Jaime Collins.
