NE seems to be preparing to trade JG. When they activated Brissett from IR just so he could a few weeks more practice that's a pretty good sign what their intentions.
If the Rams hire Josh we've already seen him try to bring in Cassel opposed to working with the previous coach's pick. I guess Goff could be available but would they trade him in division?
I agree. Brissett wouldn't be the next guy to go into a game this year, so his extra work must be geared toward next year. It's not definitive evidence that they are preparing to trade Garoppolo, but it's a pretty clear suggestion that they're going to trade someone.

If the Rams want McDaniels they're going to have to play ball with him. He's got options. He's already chased out a Pro Bowl qb you know he's going to position to get his own guy. Rams will know that going in.
They're missing a 1st this year but JG is only going to garner a 2nd rounder and some change.
It's so far fetch that it's really not even worth debating at this point...didn't josh get fired already once in St Louis?
The Rams are all in on Goff, they won't be trading him and the next HC needs to be all in on Goff as well IMO.

We will see who comes to LA there's been reports of Sean Payton and Kyle shanahan as well. Payton bringing Brees and shanahan bringing Ryan too?
I mean why couldn't goff fit McDaniels system?
The whole passing judgment on Goff after 6 games absolutely boggles my mind. I don't see them having trouble finding a coach that thinks he can work with Goff and Gurley and develop an offense around both of them. Rams will definitely have to invest in their OL and at WR and TE.

What if the Rams hire McDaniels, and he trades for Garoppolo (3rds or 2nds)? Suddenly, the Rams don't need Goff anymore, and his struggles this year (though completely common for a rookie QB), make him no longer worth a 1st round pick in trade. We could essentially get the 2016 #1 overall pick for the same trade we'd consider for Garoppolo...
Not saying I'd do it, and I'd wanted to hear the HC's plan for clearing up his processing speed and accuracy under duress, but's interesting to think about...
thats not a path to consider
WHO. THE. HELL. SAID. TRADE. A. #1??????
I said, consider trading the same value we'd look at giving for for Garoppolo which is somewhere around a 2nd and a conditional 3rd/2nd or a 3rd and a conditional 3rd/2nd for a guy who went #1 overall in 2016. Calling a Rookie QB a bust because he struggles is beyond foolish and impatient. Who are the best QBs in the NFL? How many of them are under 25? How many are under 30? Why do you think that is? Look at all of those QBs and their QB ratings as rookie, if they even played. Listening to the Shefters and Rappaports around the NFL, a lot of coaches and FO guys still think really highly of Goff, and the implication is that many think Fisher was a dope in developing Goff. Is that such a big surprise?

I mean I guess anything is possible but the chance they trade Goff off of 5 games after giving up so much for him ONLY to trade away more picks and pay Jimmy G is kinda far out there lol. (I think all they have is a 2,3,4,6 round pick this upcoming draft). I wouldn't be surprised if someone offers NE something better than they can offer.
It will be interesting to see who's coaching LA next yr...I'm praying we firing everyone and bring in the shannys personally

FYI I don't want you to feel like I'm always trying to argue with you lol...I just don't see that happening

Peyton and Shanny have been brought up since the Rams look to be going offense. It's way too early for the coaches to be expressing interest especially Payton who still has a job but no I don't think they'd get any of those people with Goff. I could argue this with you like always to the cows come home but it's Rams football and has no effect on us. If they hire McDaniels we'll talk again on this one.

They use their 2nd rounder and a 4th to go get Corey Davis or John Ross.
On defense, they 49ers sign Brandon Williams to hold the nose, and they draft Myles Garrett at #2, after Cleveland takes Trubisky at #1.
only in a prefect world lol
