He's 6'2, not 6'3, but he's still probably bigger than Watson. There are plenty of smaller QBs than Garapollo who don't get hurt all the time. Sus is exaggerating.
When I google his size first thing that pops up is 6-3 223
Wikipedia, NFL.com, profootballreference, as his combine numbers disagree with google. NFLdraftscout lists him at 6'2 1/4" which is what he measured at the combine I presume. He's not a midget, but he doesn't have ideal height for a QB. Hand size is on the smaller end as well at 9 1/4".
I think Garoppolo will end up going for more than just a 2nd round pick. Since the NFL has become so pass happy teams have become more reliant on QB play and they are more willing to gamble on finding that next franchise QB. What I'm worried about is if Cleveland offers NE their 2nd 1st round pick which I believe is 8th overall currently, in exchange for Jimmy G. Im sure they could get a mid round pick back from NE as well but at the end of the day I think a 1st round pick is what it's going to take to get Jimmy G

Yeah. I think what would be fair is if we trade up with a team in the late first ahead of the draft..Then trade that late first straight up for Jimmy .
My guess would be that LA actually trades for the rights to Sean Payton rather than hire McDaniels. Payton is from CA and NO is apparently willing to let him out.
The Bills could hire McDaniels. They have weapons, just need a good offensive minded coach. No way NE trades Garappolo to a division rival coached by their former OC.
As for other teams that need a QB - Jets, Browns, 49ers, Bears. NE won't trade Garappolo to a division rival. So Jets are out.
Browns have the most ammo to trade for Garappolo. But they are 1-15 and have 3 of the top 33 picks. My hunch is Jackson wants his own guy to develop - Cleveland is basically starting from scratch and if Watson or Trubisky shine at the combine I think Cleveland goes with either of them.
Bears or 49ers. If we keep Kelly I think we pull the trigger. Kelly doesn't want to develop a rookie - he doesn't have the time - and Garappolo has the quick release and accuracy Kelly values. Our 2nd is higher than Chicago's ... it depends on how desperate Chicago is.
But the market for Garappolo is not as large as one might think. Don't think NE has a lot of leverage here. If they don't trade him the best they do is a comp 3rd next year.
Also, Bill&Kelly have a good relationship. Bill thinks Kelly is a good coach and spoke up for the guy, have had off season scrimmages ... that means something. Trent has a good relationship with Bill as well.. If I'm not mistaken BB and Chip ask similar things from their wideouts. I'd be great to have a plug and play guy. Bring in Bennett and Blount as well!.. Sign Floyd if he balls out in playoffs? Lol.

Yep. I have been saying that all along. Jimmy Garoppolo is not going to be cheap. I am pretty sure 1 x 2nd round will never cut it. I am not even sure 2 x 2nd round will get it done. My guess is think 1st round and above.
In a perfect world, DeAndre Smelter plays well on Sunday, the 49ers sign Terrell Pryor in FA and Kevin Zeitler, and they trade for Jimmy Garoppolo, giving up a 3rd this year and a conditional 2nd next year. They use their 2nd rounder and a 4th to go get Corey Davis or John Ross.
On defense, they 49ers sign Brandon Williams to hold the nose, and they draft Myles Garrett at #2, after Cleveland takes Trubisky at #1.
OH and trade for kendricks only in a prefect world lol
Nah, I'm comfortable with Ray Ray starting next to Bowman. For depth, we should use a 5th to take Beckwith off the ACL scrap heap, just to watch the Zone burn down.

Oh sorry less then a inch off lol
If you can play football I'm not worried about 1/2 in inch man.

I have a feeling kendricks can be had cheap...he's got like 250 snaps this yr and isn't a fit for Jimmy s defensive scheme.
We can take on the contract no problem...offer them our comp 4th. I like ray ray as depth not starting.
Yeah beckwith was one of my fav prospects too bad about the ACL...he's got a bit of the injury bug though.

Hahaha he's high if he thinks NE Is gonna get a 1sr rd pick let alone two.
No way they pay a backup qb $20 million on the tag to sit the bench either...sounds like Bill has one of his buddies hyping stuff up for him
Oh and I can't stand that show

I love Garoppolo but if the pats legit would want our #2 overall or potentially even more then I hope some other team goes all out for him.
Just to clarify something, don't think we should give our first pick for Jimmy, however, he is far far better than any qb in this draft, ie if you're gonna blow the pick on a qb, you might as well get the best qb.
I'd prefer a non qb @#2 and then give our 2nd this year and 2nd (and 4th) next to get Jimmy.
No way Jimmy goes for less than Alex Smith, just don't see that happening
And why do you think a guy with 1.5 career starts would require more compensation than a quarterback who was having a career year, completing 70% of his passes before he lost his job to injury?
