Trade Torrey for him. Sign Glennon to back him up. Draft the best WR in draft with our pick or draft best pass rusher and sign the best available WR and TE in free agency.

They're going to put a mid 1st round grade on him and probably settle at 2 2nds.
I'm just throwing out another situation I'm not trying to intertwined the two.
Just because a team wants a certain value for someone doesn't mean they will get it.

Remember when Matt Cassel wasnt even a starter when he was in college and was drafted in the 7th round? Remember when Matt Cassel was throwing to Randy Moss and Wes Welker?
I member.

Here are some highlights from his 1st preseason. The guy has a pretty intriguing NFL skillet.

I dont get why pats would part with jimmy when they have a 40 year old qb. Bradys play will begin to fall off and injury will happen--yo, it's science!

They probably figure then can replace Garoppolo some way.

That's a debate for the Patriots to think long and hard about. The fact is they can't have both QBs on the roster after next year. So trying to get compensation for one is the patriot way. With Bill He is probably going to retire with Brady and he may not care about the future of the organization. If that's the case he sticks with Brady who is the best QB ever and having one of his best years yet and gives him Bill his best chance for another ring.

He's already surpassed all the stigma of being an aging QB (dude is gonna be the MVP) plus they just gave him a two yr extension. Tom isn't some athletic freak and for the most part has been healthy his whole career , it's reported his insane with his diet and training...plus NE will just do what they've always done draft and develop a new guy.
They simply can't pay Jimmy G and Tom and with the extra picks they get they can easily get a new QB in the next draft to groom...don't forget they drafted Brissett in the 3rd last yr and I could see them going after a guy like Falk next yr.

I don't get but it is their plan right now. Brady says he wants to play until he's 45 and they're going to take that risk.

I think it's buyer beware with Garoppolo. He can end up just like Cassel. Good a couple of games than falls off the map.

No way I'd trade Myles Garrett for this scrub.

And Blaine Gabbert was a top 10 pick. The only thing that matters is Cassel threw 21 TDs & 3,600 yards with NE in 2011 and they won 11 games. Then only threw 20+ TDs in a season one more time.
