Drafted Iupati and Davis and brown looks promising? WR has been his sore spot IMO. One bad TE doesn't mean he can't evaluate the position.

And others such as Bykowski, Person and even Looney is ,"now flourishing with the Tennessee Titans" according to Sakamoto.

We've been VERY slow to develop OL here for ages for some reason...starting to sound more like coaches (i.e. Thomas?) over personnel. I know OL across the NFL have really struggled coming into the NFL esp. in the first round so that only adds to the issues. Just some horrendous luck and circumstances that seem to be driving that image (plus having to draft last doesn't help either).

WR? No doubt...Baalke has avoided that spot like the plague and instead, buys them (Boldin, T.Smith, Moss, Manningham, Lloyd & Johnson).

Now that Harbaugh is out, the WCO is back with GeepLo, you could see the night-and-day difference in how the TE's are used. We kicked VD to the curb, Celek, Bell and even McDonald are big parts of the passing game, etc. I have a feeling if there is another Ertz, Eifert, etc. out there NOW, Baalke just may go that route.

Yup I agree...I wish we wouldn't continue to bring in old vet WRs that soak up snaps and playing time though. Lloyd, Manningham, Simpson, Edwards etc just stop please.

Simpson shouldn't be on the team IMO. he had more snaps that Ellington last week. Last couple games I don't see why not bring in someone like White for some playing time? See what we got ya know.

what we need is a WR that can get off the line quick and get separation by running crisp routes (for the WCO)....not to sure I see much of that in the upcoming draft....the past two seasons were prime for WR talent and Baalke took a big ol' fart on the position

That's another good one I forgot as well.

Yeah, too bad we didn't take enough looks at White but even more so, with Dres Anderson (crisp route runner) and Smelter. At this point, besides Busta and Thomas, everyone else has had a chance to get some real NFL snaps and learn from them (and allow Baalke to evaluate).

Good call NY.

I think Bell has lots of potential.

Is Busta still w/us??

Busta is on "IR" his more of a pass catching TE/WR then your usually blocking TE...there's promise there

Yeah, I see Busta next year as a legit H-Back. Finally. But will we use him in that fashion?

That's my hope! I did like how HaRoman used him in this fashion for sure...wham-blocker city and out in space.
Johnson is weak, he's too lanky.. I think we can let him go or trade him ..

He's literally the same size (a little stockier) than Richard Sherman...I haven't seen anything that makes me think he's weak. When able to get playing time I thought he's played fine in press man.

I am thinking this as well. It could also be that our coaches are just too slow to play these guys in certain instances. In previous years, there were better vets in front of the young guys. This year, not so much and we still saw too much from veterans who proved they didn't belong.

The only "bad" OL pick so far it seems is Marcus Martin.

Agreed...we've had Bykowski, Person and even Looney playing pretty well elsewhere. Goodwin was a great FA pickup. Kilgore was his heir until he had TWO surgeries (bad luck there). Martin was regarded as the best C in the draft. Fail. But then Baalke brings in Devey, Pears, Snyder and Jonathan Martin to be backups and all end up starting. That's bad luck and bad personnel choices by the coaches. No way Baalke is thinking those were "starters" but experienced backups at best, who can step in in a pinch, compared to a rookie OL. Iupati, Davis, Tiller, and Brown seem like legit starters or at worst, really good backups. Farrell, Martin, Thomas and Silberman are all still undecided at GUARD. We already know Martin sucks at C. G has less "thinking" and more "playing" so there is a chance Martin starts to look exponentially better there. Stay tuned...

PS: Dontae Johnson is good. LOL

9moon talks out of his ass. Johnson is heavier then Sherman and probably better in run support. I think Johnson has legit number 1 corner potential. Think it's stupid we don't play him.
