I agree this guy played well.
Can't blame the D- line either they had no shot with the quick passing game the Bills instilled.
It falls on Saleh's improvisation though!

Another good game.
This staff knows how to maximize guys in the slot corner position.

Might bring him back on the cheap next year, especially if we lose Sherman/Verrett/K. Williams. J. Taylor won't be back until mid season at the earliest, so I wouldn't bring Taylor back until he can practice. We might need to draft a slot corner, and have him battle with someone like D. Johnson, especially if the cap goes down as far as they say it will. Slot corner will be down on our list of must resign guys, sorry K Williams.

I honestly think a mid round rookie couldnt possibly be worse

Good stuff.
Seems like slot Corner isn't that big of a money spot with how different guys have played it productively, thus far.

Jamar Taylor proved he can play it but got hurt. Johnson is looking like he can play it and will have experience. I'd go that way on a cheap contract, if he finishes healthy.

I agree, much rather bring D. Johnson back on a 1 year minimum to 2 million dollar deal to start at slot, than pay K. WIlliams 7-9 million a season. Johnson might have found his calling with us as a slot guy.

Well we now have to compete with Saleh for guys like Verrett, Johnson, Hyder, etc. I totally agree he'd be a good option, but there's a reason why Johnson has bounced around the league. He's a good ST and role player, but he can't be trusted as an every down corner yet. I'd love to snag him for a 2-3 year deal as a depth player though.

This...... people are giving this guy way too much credit, he has been playing better which is nice same thing with Witherspoon but let's be honest, they're both very inconsistent at best and a liability in coverage.

Niners know what he brings to the table, I'm unsure why Tim Harris hasn't gotten a chance to show what he's about.

Why? Waste of a roster spot.
