That's actually why I don't like this signing. I don't think he's been great on special teams he's just played the most. Marcell Harris and Raheem Mostert were good on special teams. He's not imo.

AGREE..

Will he wear a different # at least so we can all pretend that he's a different person who sucks ??

Yeah I don't get this signing. It's not like he was going to get snapped up in free agency. We picked him up on the scrap heap later in the season I think so why commit to him now ? Maybe he's a good locker room guy, or will help the first team QB feel good about themselves by giving up lots of uncontested passes.

With all the CB's available that are out there that are a 1000x better than this guy and cant get a contract, we sign this guy.....

Harris and Mostert aren't on ST anymore. That's why we need other guys. If a young guy comes along and beats him out, then he is gone. In the meantime, there is obviously a reason why they brought him back early. IIRC, he was popular in the locker room and works hard in practice. That counts.

Everyone understands he's just a depth guy, but doesn't take away from the fact that hes a major liability at CB (to put it mildly). He has been "just a depth" for a while and still continues to find his way on to the field, only to stink it up.

I'd rather they add a depth guy that is young, hungry, and has potential upside. You never know we may find our next Moseley.

Oh well, it is what it is.

Exactly. He is depth and he knows the system, but he is bad when he is on the field and everyone is picking on him. He has zero upside. A young guy can still be bad, but at least have some upside. And yes, Eman's example is right on the money.

lol by "solid number 5" you mean "solid, unless he has to actually play"

I guess I mean I think he can play a few games here and there and won't f**k up royally.
Am I the only one who thought he played decent last year? Not talking about the years prior but this past year he played both slot and outside if not mistaken.

TOTAL all the money we spent on JUNK PLAYERS that may need to beat a rookie to make the team, why not just use that and signed a veteran special team specialist... or a return man (Cordarelle Patterson) since we haven't had a real returner since Tedd Ginn Jr..

Good god. He was fine as our 7th CB last year. Camp body. They have a roster to fill and that requires low level depth signings.

This. I doubt he'll make the final roster unless we have a serious amount of Injuries at the CB position.

Let's revisit this when he sees the field and costs us a game bc Verrett or mosley hurt their p*ssy
He ok

He's better than Antonio Langham, Mark McMillian, Darnell walker
