You know what you're going to get. He is going to be close to his guy. Dontae is not going to turn his head and make a play on the ball... he'll be close, but that has been his issue.

The only time he has been burnt and straight embarrassed has been by DeAndre Hopkins and one other star reciever...I forget which.

It's a message board you shouldn't expect anything less. And I wouldn't say only just DeAndre Hopkins embarrassed him, last season Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis and Stefon Diggs embarrassed him. And the limited time he has played in games, he's very prone to giving up 3rd down catches. I use to cringe when he would sub in for Richard Sherman.

It's kind of unbelievable Johnson could be starting this Sunday if no Moseley. Norman might not be ready to start since just joining the team and then you have the two rookies.

Why does this dude always seem to stay healthy while our starters can't? Must half ass it practice and training so he can keep collecting paychecks.
Much rather go with Demo...who looked great in preseason...its the lions for f**k's sake who bad could a rookie do.

Ok, I'll say it. If D Johnson plays a significant amount of snaps, he won't cause the team to lose. I'm counting on an insane pass rush to protect Johnson to a degree.

Hey Afrikan.....If anyone's acting like some dramatic high school girl it's you. Not only that you act like a highschooler that already needs to get their eyes checked. Maybe you aren't too good at evaluating football players but Johnson is a horrendous cornerback. There are a lot of players that know the system that may have talent and still suck royal ass.

So your justification for keeping him is asinine and ridiculous at best. "He will be close to his guy?????" That's what you got in his defense. Close but still gives up a long completion or td. Come on man!!!! I hate to break it to you, but some players just suck no matter how fast they are or how well they know a system, they are a liability and could cost us games. Dante Johnson does fall into that category.
