Crap. You're right.
i'll say one thing for dontae ..... he knows how to play just we'll enough for the NFL to keep calling his name again and again. This guy is like luggage ... you just can't get rid of him .... seems to always land in a spot where there are a bunch of youngsters or the vets suck just a little more than he does

Career history
  • San Francisco 49ers (2014–2017)
  • Seattle Seahawks (2018)
  • Buffalo Bills (2018)
  • Arizona Cardinals (2018)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (2019)*
  • Los Angeles Chargers (2019)
  • San Francisco 49ers (2019–present

He actually did play fairly well.

Cover 2 defense may be his calling

Let's see what happens this coming week

IDGAF he's done more bad than good. I much rather see Lenoir or Ambry Thomas make the mistakes that he does.

Perhaps🤔

But given his height he might have been pigeon holed into a certain style of defense that doesn't fit his abilities.

Cover 3 press and bail (Seahawks) isn't for everyone just because of how tall they are

Hopefully, if they play more Cover 2 again we shall see how he does.

Keep in mind Armstead is constantly rated as the best defensive player pretty much every week and all it took was a slight change in scheme

The method has to outlive the man
Had a penalty on a hard hit but looked pretty good again.

I hate to admit it but he's playing above PS level. He outplayed Demo for sure

Yeah I don't care who it is at corner but if someone plays a little better than the other they have to play. This guy was playing pretty good too in the slot before he tore his knee. Give him some reps opposite of Moseley and for Norman who looks bad.

The pulled D-Mo so damn fast... They have all of these rookies on the shortest leashes.

Well they should when he cost us 2 touchdowns. Corner is too important of a position to not have a short leash
For the first time ever, I think we can use him this week.
So of course,He's questionable with a personal matter.

UN....f**kING....BELIEVABLE. We want Donte Johnson to play

how decimated can a team be at cb and rb. Even with Deebo back he may either get re injured or not close to 100%. Just giving games away like last week. Better to be lucky than good I guess

Sounds like he's making a business decision. Smart guy.
Johnson should be playing ahead of Norman as crazy as it sounds he is better at this point than Norman. He also seems to stay healthy unlike the rest of the DB room.
He has been in the league so long I think he gets full pension. Good for him.
