Actually the contract he signed is tied to game day bonuses, and includes a no tag clause. Hardy will be a FA again next year.

The state pressed charges against him. The major, and perhaps only, witness against him refuses to cooperate with the state.

It seems highly likely that her refusal to cooperate stems from a settlement between Hardy and her, a settlement in which he paid her money.

Isn't paying to induce a witness not to testify in a criminal case a crime in and of itself?
