I ain't about beating women either but I am about winning. We can have law breakers but we can't have cheaters in my book. I know in life breaking the law is worse than cheating the game but in the game to me there is no worse offense because then folk will always try and discredit your winnings

of course its bs because jed york didn't say what people are attaching to him. he actually said not all players walking through that door would be choir boys but yet most people are sticking with the narrative every player they sign/draft will be a saint and/or have a clean record otherwise Jed is a liar.

he didn't elaborate the "winning with class" in the KNBR interview so you read what you wanted to read in it.

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/49ers/2014/12/29/transcript-from-jed-york-trent-baalke-press-conference-on-jim-harbaughs-departure/
Q-What does winning with class mean?
JY: Winning – I think we've defined that. I don't think we need to go into that more. I think class, I understand that there will be off-the-field issues. But we need to make sure that as an organization we're helping our guys. Seeing our guys today – I'm going to make sure that our players … if you play into your thirties, you're probably pretty lucky. If you play into your forties, you're probably a kicker. I want to make sure our guys have a great career and a great life after football. I want to make sure that we don't just ask them to go out and win football games for us. We have our team make a community a better place. We have our guys embrace the community and understand what it means to be a San Francisco 49er. And our guys – I want them to be successful outside of this game. I think that's one of the things Bill Walsh did better than probably any other coach. When you look at the successful players he had on the field and look at how successful they've been off the field. He was a great mentor to them, and he was a great teacher to them both on and off the field. And that's really important to me in the greater scope and greater scheme of things.
Q-Do you look to your GM to bring in quality character players?
JY: Absolutely. And they might not be guys that might not be 100 percent choir-boy, perfect-quality players. And the NFL is made up of players that have mixtures of personality. We need to find a way to get to the guys that are potentially on the edge, that have the ability to really be good guys. Maybe they didn't have the greatest backgrounds, maybe they didn't have the greatest upbringing. But that doesn't mean that they're bad people. And that's when you get to the teacher to make sure that you find a way to reach those guys instead of going to the other side, keeping them on the side of the road that fits with our core values.

Was Greg Hardy cut? Or did his contract expire?
If he was cut, it won't hurt the comp' pick formula.

After Bruce miller and ray Mac I don't know if we would ever take a chance on DGB in the draft or hardy at DE. or let alone anyone with a legal problem, even cullys discipline forthcoming.
