Trade for OBJ

Let's just say the Browns are ready to throw in the towel and move OBJ, which I doubt. We wouldn't be the only team interested in him and our offer would have to beat both New England, Philly and possibly others. We aren't getting an elite reciever for significantly less than what we offered to the NYG only a few months ago. It's not like Odell is killing his value by acting a fool like AB.

I still call BS.
So OBJ has A better arm than baker mayfiekd

Please trade for him. We have BOSA. Now we can offer a first round pick. Dude will shine in Shanahan's system.

So with no picks in either of the first two rounds, the reconstruction of our O line will have to wait another year. And re-signing our own young stars like Buckner? No money left.

I mean would you call a 1st and 2nd rd pick for OBJ and Ford bad? Not me

Right now SF has about $45M (with rollover) for 2020.

Buck is already on the books next yr and a new contract isn't gonna change his cap hit too much in 2020. There's a handful of dudes you can cut (Goodwin/Jet/Nzeocha etc) to create around 10+M more in space. Throw in you can give extensions to guys like Juice/Tarrt to lower their cap hit next yr.

I'm looking at OBJ cap hits and it's around $15M per which isn't outrageous. Looks like he doesn't have any fully GT money left and can be cut with no dead money for the rest of his contract. He might want to restructure for more GT cash (and SF can lower the cap hit with signing bonuses spread out).

As far as Kittle goes, thank god he's a TE....his contract will be the highest in the league, which in the overall aspect of NFLcontracts isn't a ton of cash. Kelce avg around $9M per (cap hit his first yr was $2.9M) that's not gonna kill SF at all IMO. Freaking Thomas is making $8M next yr (man I was wrong about him).

ALSO we got a new CBA coming up, which might give team even more cash to work with down the road...plus Paraag gonna Paraag. There will be cash

Finally, you're question about reconstruction the OL....why? Our starters are all signed thru at least 2021 They're playing at a high level right now, sure you can add depth BUT that doesn't have to be a high pick. Rather have that 1st be a instant impact player right now.

If OBJ is available, I'd throw a 1st at him all day.

Mannnnnnn, Ive been saying this for weeks . Also the ability to restructure Jimmy G's contract can free up upwards of $18-$20 mill.

Yeah that can move money around....end of the day I don't think OBJ is available.
Im trading our 1st for OBJ in a heart beat since I think wr should be a top pick for us come april
He dropped that wide open pass vs Sherm and fumbled on a return tho.

He's not worth all of that money.

Thinking poor play would maybe drop his a value a bit.

Hopefully, his value keeps plummeting
Cle insider said we offered 2 3rd round picks to browns and redksins offered a 2nd - both declined by browns.

Link? I doubt there is any truth to this. Still, I pray it's true and Lynch is starting with a weak offer before increasing it. Everyone here knows how much this staff loves Beckham Jr. We damn near passed on Bosa just to get him.
as much as id want a top WR, i don't want OBJ anymore.

How much would that suck for OBJ if he got traded to the Redskins!

2 3rds is definitely not gonna get it done, especially with what Dorsey gave up for him.
