Look at the guys that have hit 300 over the past several seasons. LeSean McCoy was okay, others declined the next year. Arian Foster, DeMarco Murray, etc.

Murray nearly hit 400...McCoy is a small back. I think Bell will be ok at 321. Before the NFL became a passing league 300 was the norm 400 the outlier....now guys are barely hitting 300 and we are seeing careers go longer. Bell is going to be 26 next year and this was his first season just over 300 carries....he'll be fine. Another number to look at is career carries and the 1,800 mark.

Over 400 touches though.

A large part of why he is so good is that OL with DeCastro and friends who just do a great job with double-teams and moving guys out.

EDIT: They are #5 in fewest contacts behind the LOS. Overall #7 in the league. When you have fat boys like that up front, you can do a lot of things. football outsiders

Yea Bells game is being patient letting plays develop, and letting his beast o line open up holes for him. Do that behind our 2017 line and you gonna get tackled three yards behind the line of scrimmage every single play.

Le'Veon Bell would be incredible in Shanahan's offense. With the large amount of cap space the 49ers have, they could front load his contract. Dream scenario is GQ, Bell, and Allen Robinson as our core offensive weapons.

This is what I want. A core trio to carry the offense and build around like the Colts did with Harrison, james, and manning. Or Watters, rice, and young. I want our version of the triplets and a crazy strong and consistent offense

I just don't want our d like the colts, I want a strong d where the o doesn't have to bail them out time and time again

Just because we have a ton of cap space doesn't mean we should max it out because next thing you know our young talent will be up for new deals and we've blown it on free agents. Have to be smart about it.

As good as Bell is, RBs don't last long and are usually fairly easy to find.

Lmao. Maybe just maybe 2 guys can POSSIBLY produce what Bell has. I don't care how many backs are in the draft. s**t 80% won't be as good as hyde

We don't need Allen if we get bell. Bell, Garcon, Goodwin, and celek time is just fine. Get bell get a new center, 1 more guard, pass rusher, and corner and we are in the playoffs

lmao no. You don't drop 20 spots to get a RB. People HATED my idea to trade the 49ers 1st round pick for Dallas' 1st round pick AND demarcus Lawrence; and that move only 10 slots back and he plays at a premium position and a position of dire need.
Imo, it would make sense IF they threw in a 4th and Bell wasn't requiring a 15 mil contract

I actually that deal for Lawrence is more than fair. I just think Dallas would go for it.
