lmao no. You don't drop 20 spots to get a RB. People HATED my idea to trade the 49ers 1st round pick for Dallas' 1st round pick AND demarcus Lawrence; and that move only 10 slots back and he plays at a premium position and a position of dire need.
I actually that deal for Lawrence is more than fair. I just think Dallas would go for it.

That would be fantastic if it went down!

Lmao. Maybe just maybe 2 guys can POSSIBLY produce what Bell has. I don't care how many backs are in the draft. s**t 80% won't be as good as hyde

A RB picked in the 3rd round the past draft had more rushing yards than Bell at less than a tenth of the cost.

This upcoming draft is even deeper at RB.

How did Bell's numbers this year compare to what Hyde and Brieda put up in tandem?

So not worth spending $25M when you can get similar production from 1-2 punch; I think a rookie RB/Breida/Williams can give you that next year

$4 million and some change in cap space for Pittsburgh, how in the hell are they gonna pay him or even franchise him again? They could get rid of some vets but who? If I were Pitt, I'd talk Big Ben into retirement, pay LeVeon Bell and draft two QB's. They have their O-line in place so that's a very good start to a rebuild.

Or!!!

They could let LeVeon Bell walk and go after Carlos Hyde or Dion Lewis who I think would both be solid in their offense. They also should be a tad cheaper. But they need to clear some space first.

That's with Shaziers 8.7 mil 5th year option picked up. f**ked up but they gonna take that away. Then some more cuts and they got room. Landry Jones is owed 2.2 mil . Vance owed 4.6. Heyward bay 1.3. Those all add up quick.

Even with all those released or restructured, that's still a hefty $14 million taking up their cap. lol

If they were to some how workout a LTD, what would his first year cap hit look like? $12 mil cap hit?

Man, that's nice, thanks Evil for posting that.

Yeah, we definitely don't need to overspend on the RB position.

Yeah Pitts is on the verge of a restructure just like NE. You can throw Seattle in that group as well.

The NFL landscape is definitely changing and we are on the way up

This only tells the story from a statistical standpoint. Obviously Bell is by far a better player and it shows on tape. But when you consider what Kyle did in Atlanta with Freeman/Coleman and you see a guy like Freeman makes 8 mill next to Bell who will command nearly double, why would we want to put all that money in one player when we have so many holes on this roster still and can better use our financial resources to sign players to fill holes and resign our own to extensions. No other back makes more than 8 million a year in this league right now.

I see no reason to overpay for a luxury back.

Totally agree on everything.

The other thing is, why risk that cap hit on one RB when if he gets hurt you're taking a big roster hit as well.
At least by committee you're protecting your roster from injury.
