Oh what, do you know John Lynch personally or something.

Sorry I had to do it.

That one is my favorite!!!

But track record has shown, Shanahan has never invested more than a 3rd round pick for a WR, what makes people think he's gonna let Lynch give up the #9 overall pick?

It's funny coming to the WZ and niners fans are so deluded. Can't even begin to dissect your faulty logic here. Shanny has never invested more than a 3rd. Shanny has never been a head coach. Or had a chance to get a top 2 WR.

No one knows what they'll do, but you're a fool if you don't think Shanny would want Odell. I don't think we'll get Odell, but I'm not gonna sit up here and act like I know Shanny personally. Which is what a lot of you do and it's the craziest thing lmao
Create a custom 49ers jersey
f**k that lol

My point was I have no idea why you keep bringing up how they started the season and asking how did he help them win. And he's not going to get $20 mil...he's most likely get AB money...which if we go by his production and age, then yes he's worth that. And giving up say #9 and a mid-late round pick is fair value for arguably the best WR in the game, who's still young. Throwing a 2nd at them is not going to get it done...that was my other point . I have lots of points lol

Then you're missing the whole pt if you don't get it...a WR isn't gonna magically make a team a playoff contender. It's not even close to the same value as a QB/edge rusher/LT/CB IMO. SO paying him at the value of a QB AND giving up high draft capital (with cheap contracts for 4-5 yrs).

he most certainly will be asking for $20 million per yr...Sammy Watkins just got $16 million per yr lol.

Giving up the 9th pick lol good lord. This isn't fantasy football

So he plays no part in the wins when they go 11-5, but when they start 0-4 he's the one not helping the team win, got it.
You philosophy seems to be either just offer up 1 year prove it deals to everyone, or if there is someone possibly available who is a top 1-3 talent, offer up peanuts in a trade and/or scoff at paying them. So basically they just shouldn't pay anyone, because all contracts these days are absurd.

I think he was ok with the contract they gave Mckinnon?

I cant remember what was give for Julio Jones, but arguably, he was worth it, and we was a rookie.

If ODB didnt have the head case issues, someone would do it in a heartbeat.

It was 2x 1st for Julio and he's been well worth it.

Thats what i thought, but was too lazy to look it up.

Julio is high character, but he was also a rookie.

Someone would give two first for ODb in a heartbeat if he didnt have the head issues.
2 firsts then pay him top wr money!! F**k that

You forgot about the crazy contract he would comanned that could be used to sign proven players on top of the young prospects you'd get with the picks.

Ok...and I'm just saying you aren't getting him unless you part with a 1st. Cant just offer up mid/late picks in trades and 1 year prove it deals in FA to everyone .
And yes it is lowballing when the going rate is at least a 1st

How is two 2nd rd picks equal to low-balling? Those aren't low end draft picks.

I already explained to you why. If the going rate is at least a 1st, then whether it's a 2nd or a 7th is irrelevant. It's a lowball offer based on the market

Let's give up our #9 this year and our #32 next year

Its so funny when people say "Shanny has never" as if he has been a HC his entire time in the league.

He has had virtually 0 say or meaningful impact in any draft decisions or FA personnel decisions in every stay he has been in, outside of answering the questions his boss asked, and offering up his personal draft crushes. He was not a part of running any drafts or offseasons prior to last season.

We have no idea what he will choose to do over the course of his career here. He has shown some real tendencies to look for certain qualifiers and "types" such as at the RB position, but that doesnt mean his previous stints as a coach have any meaningful significance when it relates to his current role with the 49ers.

Ok, so why didn't his previous teams draft a WR in the 1st then? Sure Shanahan wasn't the trigger man in the draft, but his input is definitely considered.

Wow I'm a fool huh, tone it down for I be the Webzone travel agent that can send you on a long permanent trip. But I can't say nor can you that Shanahan would or wouldn't, and even if he does the circumstances to acquiring Beckham is too much for the 49ers future of success.

That's the starting price, you can obviously talk down from there. I'd guess a 1st and a 3rd would possibly work. Maybe 1st 3rd and armstead for obj and a 4th or something but I also don't know s**t so idk.

Yea that's the deal breaker right there. The Giants have no leverage. I'll pass

It was an original 1st and a future 1st, still not the same as giving a NFL veteran two 1st round picks.

Again, so why didn't past GM's take a WR in the 1st then?
The Giants aren't getting two 1sts. The most I'm willing to give up is #9 for #34 and OBJ.
