His career ypc is well below average...and historically WR's put up big numbers with Cutler (see Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery). He's not great but he's not a conservative game manager. For context, Tyreek Hill almost doubled Landry's ypc #'s this year and he wasn't even top 10 in the league. Again that's with Alex Smith as his QB.

I'm not saying Landry is a bad player. I just don't think he's worth anything close to what he's going to be paid.

Landry blows both away, not surprised based off his all around wr abilities. Not a one dimensional guy.

I'm kind of confused about what this is meant to prove...? Of course Landry is going to have more YAC. He leads the league in catches within five yards of the LOS. Yards per catch includes YAC and he's still insanely low for his career. The Dolphins don't have any other options so they pepper him with short passes. Again, I'm not saying he's bad but he should not be one of the highest paid WR's in the league.
You can't put cooks, hill or Robinson ahead of Landry in all around- all ability wr rankings. 2 of those guys are 1 dimensional route type runners, the other had 1 season of garbage time touchdowns in 2015.
Why shouldn't he be paid for producing reliable numbers on a garbage offense with a garbage qb? Who's doing the work for him then? You?

Tyreek Hill is a better version of say Percy harvin, he's a gadget player. He'll catch you 3-4 balls only for 100 yards because one play broke for 80. He's the type of player that disappears for 2-3 quarters but you'll remember that one big play.

Please don't compare that to a wr who's around all game long playing with jay cutler and Matt Moore.
This is ridiculous. Just because he can break off big plays at any moment doesn't mean he's a "gadget" player. He averaged 5 catches per game and had over 1100 yards.
Everyone in here could agree that golden Tate is a reliable- dangerous wr no? Landry is a quicker version of Tate, can do all the same things and Tate got paid.
So Tyreek Hill doesn't catch passes inside of 5 yards of the LOS as well? No bubble screens?

He should be paid well but he's not a game changing player and the numbers reflect that. You think Robinson's 1400 yards all came in garbage time? He's on a garbage team too with a worse QB. And he's still 24 years old.

And you talk about being one dimensional but that's the point I'm making about Landry. No big plays working almost exclusively in shallow routes...
Tyreek Hill can run you two routes. A bubble screen or a 9- route. When he disappears during games, that is why, he's a limited route runner.

He definitely does but 1) he doesn't get as many as Landry and 2) he clearly breaks many for big gains which Landry doesn't do as often.
Landry can run Robinson's routes. He wasn't asked to with cutler as his qb. Landry is the opposite of one dimensional.

I'd be more than fine paying him Golden Tate money...he's going to get WAY more than that.
Tate makes $6m per year...Landry is going to get closer to $14m. He's worth something in the middle.

Do teams gameplan for hill and Landry the same or does one offense run the ball very well and have other options like a top flight tight end as well? Landry will get bracketed all night long due to dolphins inept weps surrounding him, can't do that with the Chiefs offense.
