We gave Ward 3 million for one year and the guy can't even play, and yet, we wont give a much proven player who will be more effective for that amount to help out on rushing the QB..

makes a lot of sense..

signing him now would almost guarantee we would be taking QW or Allen. It would also tip our hand. If his shoulder is really wrecked, then it couldn't happen at a better time, as we'd have to act fast, sign him and then all the forementioned would come to fruition. Hence, we wait and keep the suspense going.

If he is signed does this mean an end for Thomas or Armstead?? Could trade Thomas for pick or package Armstead in trade up in draft. Thomas could be tempting to a team that plays 3-4 defense with his options left on rookie deal.
