That clip of him running down the field. Wow.

This kid is ideal for our scheme.
wasted money
This free agency signing is horrible
No real threats...
The offence line as of now is the same as last year but with new faces.

Richburg is an upgrade. Try again.

WOW! indeed, he looked pretty good in pass pro against DeForest Buckner as well. looks like a starting LG to me.

Agree with both posts. I watched the DAL vs LAR game (2017) and no, Cooper can't handle ADonald - no surprise there. His best plays were when he was hunting down LBs at the second level in the run game. I agree with the scouting reports that say he's more finesse than power, although it was only one game. Lots of recent relevant film with Cooper to check out.

To be fair, nobody can handle Donald and that was Cooper's first game in 2017. He was inactive for weeks 1-3.

Watching how he performed vs Philly (week 11), NYG (week 14), and Seattle (week 16) may give us better insight into his skill level.

Fair enough. I do have the PHI game as one I'll watch (FCox) as well as ATL (GJarrett).
This guy is this year's Fusco for us. Low end starter, high end back-up. Hes far more athletic than Fusco, so he might do better, but he'll have ups and downs just like Fusco did. It's a one year deal to let him compete. Its not like they gave him top ten G money for a few years.

Draft a G early and let them all compete. Let's say they get Braden Smith. Smith, Garnett, Cooper, and Tomlinson competeing for 2 spots isn't exactly terrible.

So is Mckinnon. Hyde was brutal.

And I guess we are forgetting about adding the best CB in the game too.
He was bad his rookie year, and not much better the year after that. He did okay in Dallas.

Thhig is, it takes time for most offensive linemen to develop. It's the rare rookie that tears it up on the offensive line.

Let's hope he has grown, and that Garnett has grown, and that's what the coaching staff knows that we don't know.

It's the off season, let's try to stay positive...

I just finished watching the PHI game. Overall, I thought he played a good game. He was matched up mostly vs Jernigan. The few times he was 1-on-1 with Cox, he did well.
He's a scheme fit. Finding guys who fit what you do is the key. Often teams get a talented player that doesn't fit exactly what they do and find themselves disappointed. He may be a slight underachiever due to his draft position (7th overall) but with the Cowboys he showed that in a Zone heavy scheme, he's up to the challenge.

I agree. Dont write him off just yet. This is also probably his last shot at an NFL roster. He has a lot to play for.
