1. Browns-Darnold QB
2. Giants- Most likely a trade down, if not Chubb DE? I would take Rosen, but they just traded JPP, and could use a pass rusher so I will say Chubb
3. Jets-Rosen QB
4. Browns-Barkley RB
5. Broncos-Nelson G
6. Colts-Fitzpatrick S
7. Buccaneers-Ward CB
8. Bears-
I could see someone trading up to 2 to grab Rosen, then the Jets would take Josh Allen at 3 doubt the Broncos pick Mayfield at 5, or that someone trades that high to get him, maybe they trade up to 8, but the Bears won't take a QB, granted we won't either, but Miami at 11 would, so Buffalo would need to jump ahead of Miami, and Miami is not in a hurry to trade up for a QB, because they technically still have Tannehill. Will see how it all shakes out.

In either of those trade down situations, i am going off MadDog's first mock, which we know is close. But swinging not one, but two trade downs to fix our OL for the next 10 yrs...man would i ever love to see that. But with $137 mil on the line for a guy who is very definitely uniquely special, it seems like the prudent (tho not very popular) thing to do. Worse yet, we would be passing on a very good DE, our potential EDGE , where that is basically all we need to set this D on fire. Or we could be talking Minkah, maybe the CB, and all those guys are desperately needed. The thing is, a bona fide EDGE is what makes our D suddenly work . We go from a decent D to a helluva D. But this is not an Ansah EDGE nor a cowboy D. Lawrence EDGE. This one would be a very good EDGE, but not king KONG. Getting two OGs between 21 and 35...that would give us a KING KONG OL and be doing all we could do to keep JG from big hits and worse, LOTS of big hits. Coach's and GM's choice...and i sure hope it is the OG thingy, but there is no glory in OGs and tons of glory at EDGE and CB...LB? Depends on the situation. IF Patrick Willis, you do it. If someone else, maybe not. So i didn't decide anything, but i do see a way thru to make our
OL one of the top two 2 or 3 in the league, and at the same time buy insurance on Jimmy.

Interior OL market going strong. Well-traveled former 1st-round pick Jonathan Cooper's one-year deal with the #49ers is worth $4.95 million, including a $2M signing bonus and $4M in total guarantees.

The Bills have the 12th and 22nd picks in the 1st round, going by draft value charts, we if we took the 12th pick from them, then we could also net the 96th(late 3rd) and 121st (late 4th) picks in the draft. Not to much value there, but sometimes teams will pay a little extra when trading up for a QB? So perhaps we could trade 9 for 12 and 56? We would be gaining 190 points according to the chart, if we could make that deal.
Moving down 3 spots and adding a late 2nd would be nice, the Bills have two 2nd round picks, so perhaps they make that deal to get a QB? We could use the extra 2nd, to help fill some holes, or continue to trade down a little more in the 2nd to net more picks for next year? Either way, I don't want to move down past 12 in round 1, because the guy I want is Edmunds, and he won't be there at 22. Edmunds is a beast of a LB, and he can play all 3 LB spots, and has the potential to become a beast of a pass rusher, he's only 19 years old right now, he's very young.
If we can trade down pick up picks plus a stud like Edmunds, what start to our draft it would be.

It will barely even make a blip on our cap.

Yeah and just like a lot of other contracts it's probably based on roster bonuses, total snaps, being ready for training camp etc....

Not a serious injury or surgery but yet another knee/leg injury/surgery for a guy who has had more than a few. I really don't think this guy can hold up for 16 games. I suspect he will have a real strong camp and probably end up starting but ends up getting hurt and hopefully we have a good rookie back there ready to replace him.
Any truth to this or just spreading rumors

Exactly. I still hope they draft another guard early to add to the competition. It's very likely we see a Garnett-Richburg-Cooper interior line to start the year.

Like Fangio when he was here. You don't just assumed the guy will be the same after an injury. There's a period of look-see

Oh no! We can't afford backups! We need to cut everyone under the 22 starters so we can sign more starters!
