Dez Bryant Has Been Released

Personally I don't see the down side give him one year and if he doesn't work out wash your hands of him next year.

Why would he take a 1 year deal?

IF Kyle felt that Dez was capable of such a performance, and Kyle had all the other tools in the tool chest to make it to the Super Bowl except that one tool, then such a deal would make sense.

I doubt Kyle believes Dez has that ability but I know Kyle does not yet feel he has the balance the team needs to make that kind of run, hence, don't take a chance on another character issue.

Because that might be his only option now that we are over a month into free agency. That might also be his best option for re-building his value for one last big contract.

I'm not saying HE would take it but if I was making the decisions that's what I would be willing to do.
FWIW I don't think he will do that because I'm sure someone will offer much more.

I'd normally agree but we really don't have that many future stars waiting to get paid. Defo comes to mind. We don't have a top young WR or RB that is currently underpaid. All of our future stars are either 2-3 years away from an extension or haven't been drafted yet. Dez can occupy that time imo unless there are people they want in 2019 FA they are saving cap room for.
everytime a big name gets released or rumored to be traded the niners are right at the top of "most likely" and every time nothing has happened. I don't expect us to get dez, as much as he fits what we need a receiver.
I can see garçon getting close to 8-10 tds next year, if he's healthy.

I really don't think dez is a possibility. It would be nice to have a clear #1 wr with dez's production possibility.

Dez wants to play in the NFC East and take it to the Boys.
Plus I just don't think the Niners would touch his contract.
I sill think he has it down in him to ball another year. Just don't think him and Dak were ever on the same page. Lol watch them give a bunch of money to Dak and he doesn't pan out.
NFC East teams reportedly not interested in Dez Bryant, but other landing spots make sense

According to NFLPA estimates, here is the current amount of cap space for each of the teams in the NFC East:
Giants: $4,880,156
Washington: $17,161,175
Philadelphia: $1,675,154
While cap space isn't necessarily the best indicator, Washington is really the only team who has the type of flexibility to make this move. The Giants likely are not going to add Bryant to a room with Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shephard and Brandon Marshall, unless they view Bryant as an upgrade over Marshall at a reduced rate. The Eagles are not going to sign a receiver who would likely flounder in their trips-heavy offense given the look of his routes in 2018.

Out of the three NFC East teams, Washington's name is the one that keeps popping up, but it's being reported they really aren't interested.

But that likely doesn't include the Redskins. A person familiar with the Redskins' thinking who spoke on condition of anonymity said the team isn't interested right now in Bryant, whose touchdown celebration is to make an "X" with his arms.
The problem with adding Bryant is figuring out how he fits into the offense, when the depth chart is already three deep and Washington has already made a big commitment to Richardson. The Redskins projected starters are Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson and Richardson. Crowder figures to work the slot in three-receiver sets, while the team has been pushing for more opportunities for Doctson, dating back to last season. Given the recent signing of Richardson, where exactly would Bryant fit?

Spare me the excitement over a 900 yard (and getting worse) receiver.

Wrong. Dez with a good QB is a top 10 WR.

It's not a coincidence his numbers dropped off significantly when he lost Romo.

My bro lives in Ft Worth and so I get to hear his rehash of the cowboys each week. Supposedly Dez wanted $16 mil, up from his $12 mil . One problem . Dez led the league last yr in DROPS, and he is famous for being the rally killer. Get a rally going ...throw one to Dez and DROP. All Dallas fans are acutely aware of his stone hands. Also as Dez says, "Dez don't do middle". We really want a rally killer with stone hands who "doesn't do middle?" Just guessing, but NO!.

TO?
His ability even if on the decline isnt what turns me off the most (but it does) his attitude is horrible lol I don't want him anywhere near the team. We have enough of a headache with Foster already.
