Dez Bryant Has Been Released

Dude was on a steep decline before the Achilles tear besides a few games with the saints he hasn't played football in 2years. There are plenty of contending teams that can use a wr and he isn't even brought up. At this point the only thing that looks good about him is his name
Can't understand all this attention about a 31-year old wide receiver with a torn Achilles. Even Richard Sherman now admits he didn't feel "right" after returning and it's an injury that normally takes two years of recovery time before a player begins to feel normal again.

If Dez had been 27-28 years of age when he suffered the injury, then I could see the interest. But not now. Not at his age. The Cowboys let him go because his skills had faded. Probably because his Achilles was bothering him something terrible before he finally ripped it with the season-ending injury in New Orleans.

Does Dez still have value? Possibly. But he should really just skip this season and try to mount a comeback next season. Yeah, at that point he will be a 32-year old receiver coming off an Achilles injury. That doesn't help him.

But, he will still be Dez Bryant. That name alone carries weight.

correction: he WAS better than most of our WRs at getting touchdowns. Several years ago. It's not that he's controversial. It's that he's old and slow. Hell, let's kick the tires on TO while we're at it....

*ETA as far as scoring touchdowns, his last year playing he barely outclassed Dante Pettis' rookie year TDs, and bryant is now 2 years removed from the game. He's done.

Lmao damn TO and Dez are on the same level right now? His 2017 play wasn't bad. For WR1 and Dez standards it was terrible. But if he's seen as a player that can help on some crucial downs and he gets to lookin like he did in 2017, then he can potentially help the team.

Realistically, he most likely wouldn't make much of a difference. My main point is that it doesn't hurt. 2017 Dez could've helped this wr group. No I'm not saying kick tires on every single old WR. But this situation is unique. We're not getting Trent back, might not get Hurd back(and even if we do, he hasn't even played a down), Goodwin is out a lot and one of the most unluckiest guys around, Deebo has already missed a game, pettis needs more snaps but isn't taking the step forward we need, Kittle might miss this upcoming game(and maybe we shouldn't the run the guy into the ground when playoffs are in sight). Many around here were pissed we got Sanders and he's completely outplayed every WR on this team by a mile.

There's a story trending on ESPN about ten teams that could use Dez, and, of course, the 49ers are mentioned as one of the ten. As are all of the playoff bound teams. It's an obvious agent plant story.

Oh I didn't see all that. Probably because he's seen as a low risk. Give him a prove it contract for the rest of the year and playoffs. If he doesn't do s**t then oh well.

Unless your name is Emmanuel Sanders who looks just as good as he ever has less than a year removed from his Achilles injury. Sanders is some kind of freak of nature athlete.
Please keep Dez the hell away from this team. Dude is TO without the talent

Good call.
I would rather have him than Bourne.
Worth a look
Call dez. Call Calvin Johnson. Get jerry rice his pads. Tonight hurt
rather line up Wes Welker or Myles Austin, atleast theyre not mentally insane
Bring him in for half a season hes better than Bourne.
