You guys are crazy. He's washed. A non factor. Can get a 5th round WR who is as skilled in the red zone.

Spare me the excitement over a 900 yard (and getting worse) receiver.

Trent Taylor is as skilled as dez Bryant? Lol

We are all as skilled as Dez Bryant.

Wrong. Dez with a good QB is a top 10 WR.

It's not a coincidence his numbers dropped off significantly when he lost Romo.

Dak is a big reason he's declined. Jimmy would give him opportunities like Romo used to do.

That said, he's lost a step and the injuries are a legit concern. Plus, would Lynch and Kyle want to add a fiery and sometime wreckless player to the locker room?

I'm not so sure he's worth the money he'll get. I think Kyle would get him back to him Pro Bowl ways, but I also think he could do that with other guys too. He turned Goodwin and Gabriel into a legit players in his scheme.

There's no reason to shell out the money for Dez unless they think he would draw double coverage and open things up for everyone else. If Kyle can get another one of those guys, it's different than just a player with a nice scheme fit. If Dez can take away a CB and S each play, Kyle will pick teams apart. That hasn't been the case because Dak couldn't get him the ball anyway.

i would take a chance and draft a kid at 5
I feel like there's a lot of people ITT who weren't actually watching that many Cowboys' games over the last three years.

Whatever it is, the Dez Bryant people are typing about isn't the Dez Bryant that has actually existed for a long time.

As was always the case, Dez still loses interest if he's not the focal point of the offense, but it has been years since he's been able to get enough separation to be the focal point of the offense.

As a point of comparison, remember in 2012 when Harbaugh brought in Randy Moss and everyone was all excited because of who they remembered Randy Moss to be, but his primary usage was a decoy to get other guys open, and his secondary usage was as a short-yardage chain mover on curl routes when DBs mistakenly gave him room?

That's basically Dez Bryant. FWIW that's basically Sammy Watkins in the Rams offense last year too.

People are excited because of the name, not the actual player.

I still fear his ego in the locker room.

Couldn't have said it better. Keep in mind he was released for performance issues, not character or off the field. The cowboys aren't going to give up a gem if they have one. Not that owner , not Jerry

Kids don't play in the NFL. There's an age limit

Dak is one of the reasons why his stats have declined.

Dak has nothing to do with why his play has declined.

What he could get with Jimmy is beside the point. It's like how everyone used to always try to push up their favorite mediocre hometown WR by saying he'd put up good numbers if he was on the Patriots. Yeah. True. So what.

That Dez could put up big numbers with Jimmy is no different than saying Quise can have a career year with Jimmy -- that's not about Dez and it's not about Quise. Knowing that your QB is good enough to make receivers look better than they are doesn't make FA WRs worth more money (if anything, it makes them worth less).
