Dez Bryant Has Been Released

Agree, bring Dez in and allow him and Garçon to battle it out, best and healthiest man wins.....
Injuries occur, Dez can be added depth. One year prove it deal would be ideal, incentives loaded.

3 wideout sets with Garçon, Dez and marquise in the slot would be nice : )
Trent Taylor would be the # 4

Why?

They specifically paid premium dollars for McKinnon so they wouldn't have to worry about these things.

Dez is NOT better than Garcon. And he will not play over Goodwin. There is zero chance Shanahan rolls two possession receivers out there every snap as his primary WRs.

At the very best Dez would be the 3rd most utilized WR on this roster. And that means diminished playing time for Taylor.

Why would Shanahan sign up for that?

Garcon and Quise outside with Dez in the slot like Fitz.

In Tony Romo's last 4 seasons (64 games) he only started 35. Now Dez has a very young QB who DAL had only read half the field. That is 7 years now of inconsistency at the QB position.

Give Dez a QB and he will light it up. Give Dez Jimmy G and he'll go for 1300 and 15 TDs. Jimmy G's quick release to a 0 route to Dez on the goal line is a 100% score as Dez always drags the DB in the end zone.
This dude is so washed up....

Didn't Shannon have Sanu and Jones who are similar in scheme with Gabriel in the slot for the ATL.../.
Off the top of my head, Garçon had ZERO td's last year through 8 games, at least DEZ brings the jump ball/red zone threat..... Plus DEZ is ticker and hungry similar to the Sherman signing

  • if Vegas had such a category (on which one could wager), I'd put my €'s on Garçon … he's the better route runner, and it isn't even close !!!
  • please excuse my word choice here … but this is just Folly; something I believe Kyle isn't into ?
  • I doubt it very seriously … outside of Celek, Dez would probably be the slowest WR on our squad, if picked up …

Jones may be the best (at least top 3) WR in the game. He's far from a possession WR. I think you may be referring to him simply because he is a big body.

Sanu is closer to Dez... but Sanu is still a superior WR at this point in their careers.

I understand the fan desire to see a former star on the roster. But there is zero evidence Shanahan would adopt somebody like Dez and be forced to either drop Bourne or not draft a WR at all. It seems very un-Shanahan like.

BTW... I agree we need a red zone threat. I'm just saying Dez ain't that guy in 2018.

Hard to take you seriously when you make your hatred for Dez so obvious.

Sanu playing vs #2 CBs his entire career and has never put up Dez numbers.
