Brunskill is better and cheaper.

Would've been nice if Lynch could've gotten a 6th-7th for him, but whatever, I'm just happy that Brunskill will most likely be starting now. He really deserves the opportunity.

Even if Brunskill is the guy, having a cheap vet backup like Person around was good depth. Maybe they think Garland can be the utility IOL. But Garland needs to be at C until Richburg is healthy. Something is about to happen.
edit: just saw Compton news. wth

Or maybe nothing is about to happen and the team just thinks Brunskill is the guy moving forward.
Garland played better than Person and can play C/G, plus Brunskill played like a top-flight OL everywhere he was lined up last year. He's only been in the NFL 3 years (only 2 accrued seasons since 1 was spent entirely on a PS) and got his first starting experience last year. At his current trajectory, there's no telling how much better he could be next season. Brunskill could make strides so huge, he could be a Pro Bowl talent at OG. Or maybe he just plays above average. Either way, he is better than Person.
Expected OT Competition: Skule vs. Shonn Coleman vs. Rookie for the backup swing T job
Expected RG Competition: Brunskill vs. Garland vs. Compton vs. Rookie for the starting job
Expected C Competition (if Richburg isn't ready): Garland vs. Rookie for the starting job in the interim and backup job after that.

I think of his pics from the Washington game, when I think of the 2019 season.

He was, good feet but just weak. Chris Jones ate him up in the Super Bowl.
