Originally posted by thl408:Person is probably trying to leverage his one good season (2018) into a big contract, by his standards. He's been working with one/two year deals his entire career. Give him a 3 year deal that's really a two year deal, but continue to look for an upgrade (similar to Kilgore being extended last season). Bringing Person back at least brings some continuity back. I just hope 2018 wasn't a big fluke since Person had been playing at journeyman level prior.
What I'd find scary is Garnett being plan A (at RG) coming into the free agency signing period, or Garnett/Magnusson vs rookie in training camp. That's too risky.
Yep, sign Person and look to try to upgrade when we can.
