Not really, we have about $7.861M in cap room, but the 52nd and 53rd players would take up $1.22M, and the 16 man PS would take up $2.176M, plus the team needs to keep money for in season emergencies/roster moves. Unless they redo Jimmy and/or Dee's deal(s).

I never realized the practice squad salaries went against the cap.

People still having hopes and dreams for Clowney!!! lol

Not happening people, especially when Ronald Blair, Jonathan Kongbo and Kerry Hyder in the mix. If anything they need to add another WR and Safety (with the loss of DJ Reed)

I concur, it's absolutely guaranteed we will not sign Clowney unless there is a surprise cut or injury to a player on the DL, More specifically DE

Can a s**tty AFC team sign him like the Jets or Jacksonville? Come on you guys have a lot of money.
Pretty please, with sugar on top, clean the f**kin car.

This and reports are he's shot 15 mil down from teams.
I just want to ask his agent while The Clown is listening... WHAT'S HE DONE TO DESERVE 15 MILLION A YEAR ??

He's not coming here BUT Kongbo/Hyder/Blair have nothing to do with it lol.

It's about cash.
Saints appear to be close to signing Clowney. When is the AFC going to do something?

They did.

They trade their superstars to the NFC West
How do the Saints have any Room whatsoever. Also aren't they 70 million in the red next year? They're going to have to cut their whole team like the Rams did
Saints can sign sanders, resign Kamara and now possibly get Clowney. Does cap space not exist for some teams? Lynch comes out and says we have no cash yet some teams can sign everyone

Agreed. They must be going all in with Brees being towards the end of his career. I can't stand the Saints. If they somehow have the room to add Clowney, I hope it backfires on them - either way, looking forward to the Niners taking them on again and hopefully pummeling them.

I just don't see how they have any money whatsoever! I would love to know their situation and because of this I hope they fall flat on their asses. He might get injured yet again
