Well in Clowney's case it's likely to only be a 1 year deal. So that will have no impact on next year's cap. Though I still wonder how they can afford him this year. The latest was Clowney wanting $15 Million. Did he cave and take way less than that?

I get that it would only be a one year deal most likely however I just didn't think they had any money. They are really trying to buy this championship before Brees regresses even further

I think he will take 1 yr 10-12 mil. Please Titans offer him more

I'm guessing one yr $10M to the Saints.

They'll get some dudes fo restructure and extension Kamara before the season starts

They're gonna restructure a s**t ton of deals next yr, clowney will sign for like 1 yr $10M

Agreed. They must be going all in with Brees being towards the end of his career. I can't stand the Saints. If they somehow have the room to add Clowney, I hope it backfires on them - either way, looking forward to the Niners taking them on again and hopefully pummeling them.

Unfortunetely for the Saints they are going all-in at a time where the NFC is loaded with powerhouses. They have the Bucs in their division that are loaded and the Falcons also won't be a pushover. Then there is the Niners, Seahawks, and Cardinals in the west. And the Cowboys in the east. Must be nice for Ravens and Chiefs who get to hide in the AFC.Neither of those teams have any real competition in their division. I guess the Steelers could cause some trouble for the Ravens but I wouldn't call them SB contenders or even sleepers.

The Browns too, Stefanski can't be as bad as Kitchens and if Mayfield doesn't suck. Browns have as much talent or even more than most teams

Yeah they are, it's gonna have to be at least three or four different contracts and if they keep kicking the can down the road they better hope the salary cap goes way up because they are screwed. By that time they won't have Brees so that might be a little better for them.
All this just for the Saints to be one and done in the playoffs

And this is without their home-field advantage in that dome. They better hope they don't have injuries

I think Carolina is gonna make a huge jump this season too. I won't be surprised to see them finish ahead of Atlanta. They really stocked up on defense this offseason and actually only drafted defense and got a huge upgrade at QB.

I think Philadelphia wins the east but Dallas will probably get a wildcard.

Man I'm happy football is almost here!
