For 3 games a year, he's the far superior player. The rest of the time he's either injured or invisible.

First of all, Ford is better.

Second of all, we could always, you know, trade Ford. He's good and has an easy out of his contract after this season. It's not like he's a negative asset like Brock Osweiler.
People seem to get forget when Ford was healthy in 2018 he had the most pressures in the NFL and most turnovers as an end. An all pro With the quickest first step in the league besides Von Miller. This guy is an elite pass rusher we just need his ass healthy

The fact that someone can put Ford and Clownjob in the same sentence without saying how much better Ford is at doing his job is an absolute travesty of ignorance.

Hell, you can't even bring up Ford's injury history as a knock....

A lot of people still see Clowney as the freak coming out of South Carolina that was going to set the league on fire. Instead he's got fewer sacks than Ford despite entering the league at the same time. I would absolutely take a healthy and fully motivated Clowney over Ford but that isn't really what you're getting. You're getting a guy who is frequently injured and when he's healthy, his effort is going to be inconsistent at best. He'll have one big game and then vanish for the next two or three, rinse and repeat.
I wonder if he'll take a very unique offer like..

$3 million per sack

... and a bonus that depends in his playing time.
