Niners should swoop in and pick him up on a 1 yr deal. Would be worth it and a retaliatory move against Seattle

Do Niners even have money to pay him?

Notes on Jamal Adams/Seahawks, per sources.

Parties involved believed 49ers, Cowboys were both in.
A deal now not stipulation for trade, can extend this year or next.
Draft uncertainty a factor.
All but closes book on Clowney.
Team views Adams as weapon more than safety

Honestly, Bosa AA and Ford are all better. He would be our #4 end in pass rush situations. I wonder what Seattles cap is at now

They moved McDougald so I don't expect their cap to change much this yr after that trade...right around $13-$14M as of now.
I actually don't think they have signed their rookies either (Maybe 2 late rd guys)...OTC has them at $7.8M in their rookie pay for 2020. They don't have cash to sign him.

Thanks NY. I have been telling everyone that they can't sign Clowney now. I just hope they don't get a player like Griffin from Minn who's a free agent DE.

No we don't, Kittle will take up some money on a LT deal, he's more important than an overrated Clowney.

I was going to post the same exact thing. New England has no good pass rush to speak of however they can afford him in my opinion and need him. I really think he's going there or Tennessee. Tennessee already has pass rushers so I think the pats offer more. If they miss out on him they might get Griffin or a trade for Jacksonville's end

Hightower/Cannon opted-out freed up like $12.7M or something as well.

Good because this way New England gets a little stronger and could possibly take out a team like Kansas City or Baltimore if Cam Newton plays at a fairly good level.
