No way in hell unless BB coaches an all time game on d that they can slow down Baltimore or KC. They don't have the talent on d especially with no pass rush and one guy whose inconsistent as hell like Clowney will not help. I hope they can beat those teams but I don't see itOriginally posted by elguapo:Originally posted by NYniner85:Originally posted by elguapo:Originally posted by NYniner85:With a bunch of NE players opting-out, I'm calling clowney to NE right now
I was going to post the same exact thing. New England has no good pass rush to speak of however they can afford him in my opinion and need him. I really think he's going there or Tennessee. Tennessee already has pass rushers so I think the pats offer more. If they miss out on him they might get Griffin or a trade for Jacksonville's end
Hightower/Cannon opted-out freed up like $12.7M or something as well.
Good because this way New England gets a little stronger and could possibly take out a team like Kansas City or Baltimore if Cam Newton plays at a fairly good level.

With the patriots secondary I'm surprised you said something like that because they were ridiculously good. They weren't bad against the run as well, but they match up better against Kansas City than Baltimore. Also, they never had a great pass rush evidenced by the fact that I believe none of their players even got above 6.5 sacks last year so again, If they get Clowney I'm not opposed to it because it will help give them a chance against the best teams in the AFC.

Their roster isn't just that good like past years, now you have Cam inheriting the same offense Brady had which barely had any playmakers. I just don't see it, they won't be horrible because BB but mediocre.Originally posted by elguapo:Originally posted by FredFlintstone:No way in hell unless BB coaches an all time game on d that they can slow down Baltimore or KC. No it doesn't if you can't protect your QB and run the ball.

Sounds like he's returning to Seattle. Both parties in talks. At least that's the news in the radio right now.

Clowney makes a bigger impact than Cannon

Per Source, The #49ers have recently expressed interest in Free Agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney. Seemed to be just testing the waters, and nothing is imminent.

They've lost like 5 players already. Including a Pro Bowl LB. Clowney's 3 sacks isn't making up for those loses. He's not even more important than Hightower .

Exactly, no way in hell it happens and Clowney doesn't seem the type to take a team friendly deal. Only thing I can think of is they can tell him take a 1 year deal and we'll take care of you the following year when they make more space but I don't even see that happening either

Hopefully the Seahawks pissed him off enough to sign here on the cheap 😬
