Jadeveon Clowney

He would have to come in at a major discount.

But why? With what money? For who's roster spot? I can't think that there's any truth to this. I'd be shocked if it were, even more shocked if we actually signed him.
How much cap space do the Niners have available?
Clowneys agent: watching the Seahawks give up multiple firsts when the Jets lie about the 49ers being in trade talks for him.

Also Clowneys agent : I've got an idea how to get signed by the Hawks!

I'll say it as I know it's coming.....cut T. Coleman...
Only way I could see us doing this is if we trade Dee Ford (for hopefully at least a 3rd). He's a little younger but I don't know if he's a better fit for our defense than Ford.

and will take 3 off.

Niners fans overrate Clowney because his only good game of last season came against us.
Clowney can take over a game. Unfortunately, he has had some serious injuries. His asking price is too much. I would imagine that his agent in being contact with the Niners is done to get Seattle to drive up the asking price.

Could the Niners sign Clowney? I would say yes if he took a huge discount. He would not get double teamed and possible could get 15 sacks with our Defense, while preserving himself playing less snaps.

I don't think he comes to Niners. He wants money.

I can't believe I'm typing this, but boast is right....

No point now...almost half his contract was gtd back in April.

$12.2M according to OTC.

Doesn't make any sense to get clowney unless he wants to play for peanuts or they have a trade idea for Ford (would save $14.3M). Still giving Kittle should be the priority

People need to relax. It's either a fake report or we are doing our due diligence. Nothing more.

Maybe one of the DL players plan to opt out? Hope that's not the case
