Jameis Winston trade proposal

Better coordinator was my thought process. Might have more luck scheming players open then trying to hit really good receivers that are covered.

Tampa has one of the highest ranked passing offenses in the league with Fitzpatrick under center.

It falls apart with Winston.

Their OC isn't the problem, it's Winston who sucks.

Sucks is a little harsh. Again, not a huge Winston fan and only trying to be like an investor and buy low.

For comparisons sake, in 2016 Winston had 4000 yards and 28 tds. Wilson had 4200 and 21 tds.
I would throw a 5th if thats all it really took.

Don't care about arrest record. I'd bring back Aldon tomorrow if he was available

Hey... finally someone that sees the potential.

He's struggling with Mike Evans and Desean Jackson. I'm sure he'll do great with out weapons.

Is there a possibility the offense they run in TB is part of the problem?

edit: Meaning that it doesn't work for the player, maybe he could be the next QB who was bad in TB and became a better player once they came to SF.

1. Wrong Forum
2. Why would we trade for a QB who's failing and is set to make 21 million next year
3. This team isn't going to trade for a guy with his arrest record

lol, gotta love the Zone
trade for James with the hopes you can flip him for a higher pick than what it took to acquire him? this aint Fantasy Football.

Teams do dumb things when qbs are involved - like Bradford for example. There are even rumors that teams were offering 1st round picks for Brisset. What did Hundley go for again?

A 6th round pick

Thanks. So basically 1 round less in this hypothetical if you could get Winston for a 5th.

Would be worth the risk to find out I think. Probably equal or better odds then hoping a 5th rounder, for example, turns into a star.

Denise is the actual owner of the 49ers. Winston has been accused or raping a woman in college and has a sexual assault allegation towards a uber driver in 2016 that led to his suspension this year. We will never trade for him.

Winston is a cancer - not a very good person.

He's an idiot. Pure and simple. Can't win with an idiot at quarterback. Josh Freeman v2.0. I expect him to bounce around the league for a few years and be out altogether in the not so distant future.

Or rehabs his image like Vick. Dogs and people aren't the same victims but some minor similarities. Of course research is needed to see if he actually wants to turn his life around like he says.
