Za'Darius Smith

I'd throw bank at Smith and at Anthony Barr.

Then draft Bosa or Williams depending how the chips fall.

Given the fact everyone is looking for ER pressure, I fully expect Z to hit at least Telvin numbers. The new Raven GM said as much.

By the time FA begins the combine is over and Lynch will have a very clear map as to who he could draft and how to play the FA market for top guys. We will know for certain that we will get either Bosa or Allen, if we want either.

Tevlin smith is an off-ball linebacker. He's not a pass rusher so I still don't see the correlation? Za'Darius is gonna get paid I'm not disagreeing.

Him and Mosley are unrealistic

Well they can't afford both I don't think so I really don't think one or the other is all that unrealistic.
What do we have to lose by giving this guy some money? As long as the contract isn't a bad one we have nothing to lose.

He's gonna get more than people think

He is close to Danielle Hunter who just signed a 5 year deal for $72M with $40M guaranteed. Something like that is what he will get.

Isn't hunter a better player and had better numbers before he got extended?

Overall Hunter may have a slight edge but they are close enough so that Hunter's contract will be a starting point in negotiations.

Smith has a higher pass rush rating, 78.7 compared to Hunter's 70.9. Hunter has a small edge in run defense and coverage. Overall rating favors Hunter by 7 points.

Also free agent contracts tend to be larger then contracts given to home grown talent. Olivier Vernon got a 5 year $85M contract a few years ago. I'm assuming Za'Darius(who had similar numbers) will get something like that.
For that kind of Money go After Lawrence,Clowney,Clark.... all are still young and have a couple of contracts to sign before they are done playing... team em up with Bosa or Allen pass rush solved....

None of them will be available once we get to FA so we won't be able to go after them.
I am not in favour of the 49ers drafting anybody whose name is Za'Darius. Seriously....

Well good thing that's technically impossible.
