Crazy they cut a guy who had 1100 yards last season though

I mean Marlon Mack and Hyde both had over 1,000 yards last yr. He's not anything special and apparently a headcase.

I can see him landing in Seattle/Rams/Bears or some s**t

Yeah and both those guys are starting RB's

HA Nope

I was just looking at Fournette's draft thread lol. So many arguments about how great he is

He is a great talent with a horrible work ethic.

He was a talented college player, who ball out based on athletic ability. Can't do that in the NFL. everyone is athletic, work ethic is poop and imo he's not really anything special.

Maybe a new place can help change that.

I thought I got good value on him in fantasy in the 5th round last week lol. Guess not. I think the Bears make the most sense. His former OC is there too. Montgomery is injured a game or two. Fournette makes sense from a schematic point of view. Could see the Eagles as a dark horse candidate to add him as well. We will see.

barely... Hyde isn't gonna be the starter in Seattle and Mack is gonna lose a ton of work to Taylor in Indy.

Coming out of HS I bought the hype. I was fully expecting an AP kinda dominance but he was just another good not great RB.

pretty much, like SoCold said worth ethic isn't there...feel like he bought into his own hype. Being big and fast isn't gonna cut it in the NFL. need more.

I know Fournette carries over 4 mil if someone is granted his waiver claim. I thought about the Rams as a interested party but they are tight against the cap with like 4 mil in space. Not saying they will not be interested but seems unlikely seeing how airtight their cap is right now.

I'm sure they could make it work but they seem to like their staple of backs and want to copy the niners formula where they use a true committee attack and utilize multiple skill sets .

I don't expect a team to put a waiver in with him due $4M, plus they would have to deal with the whole grievance issue...Jags would take on a DM hit of around $4.5M if no one claims him.

he had offsets in his rookie deal, so he can "double dip" and sign with whomever and collect a check from the Jags. IMO he will be free to sign with whomever and because the Jags will still be paying him, he more than likely takes a smaller 1 yr deal to play for whom he wants.

IMO if a team is willing to take his contract by taking his waiver claim, they could have given up a conditional 7th rd pick as well

Yeah that's possible that no one claims him as well. I forgot about those offsets in his deal. Your right about that.

The bears kinda stick out to me. Like I said rams seem to want to work that commitee approach and like their backs diverse skill sets. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with the rams though. They were one of the first teams I thought about. I keep thinking the bears as a natural fit though.

Fournette to the Saints seems predictable to be honest. Home state, Saints fill the void Ingram left and they are in the win now sign everybody mode
I think he goes to the Bears or the rams
