Washington has a number of worthwhile FAs they will need to resign, including C-D. They have $17M in cap room which won't go far with all they have to do. Jamison Crowder and Preston Smith are also guys they will want to keep. It will be hard to keep all three of those guys. Of the three, Smith would be preferable over C-D for me.
Same.

This, but just draft.
Fans always say this, which is fine, but who and with which pick?
The Niners need to upgrade their single high safety position. If they don't sign ET, I'm intrigued with Nasir Adderly. If he's still there, they'd probably need to use their 2nd on him.
this wud have to be the pick

if no ET, I can see us going with a vet(Glover Quinn, et al) and drafting someone (Adderley), or keepin someone (Ward-gulp), Dis is kinda how we move.

...except he is no longer the player he once was. Lost speed and quickness. Best now as an in-box defender or cover TE. Still has good instincts but legs no longer get him there.

In terms of the alternatives and what we want to do with the FS position, it's really Earl Thomas or bust in the free agent market. If we miss on him, then shore up the pass rush and draft another FS. Hopefully AC can show some of the promise he showed in 2017.

This, no one will be worth the money after Earl

Will probably go to the Broncos to stay in the same scheme.

I mean, its not a guarantee that he does. I still want the nines to go after him. I'd be more than ok if thye overpaid for him a little. He is big, athletic, has decent speed, and is elite in coverage. doesnt create many turnovers though, but I can live with that.

One of the reasons why I was hoping to draft Hooker was that finding a FS with range is really tough. Honestly if we don't sign Thomas I think our best value would be just to give Colbert another shot. None of these are true center fielders.
Possibly give Sendejo a low level contract as competition.

I agree. After Thomas there is no one worth spending big money on
