He is under contract (5th yr option) thru 2020. He won't be allowed to just walk and his services would be hot on the trade market (be it at the 2020 deadline or a franchise tag and trade after 2020) so yeah, not bloody likely.

If he did hit FA, I am sure we would be an attractive destination for him though.

Someone wants to obliterate our cap. We'd do better to trade an entire draft away to get a player of that caliber than to pay another Dlineman that kind of money. We are going to have a Dline average some 15 million per year per man (Bosa's contract is bringing the average down), and even then, we only get 3 years of low money. Either that or the entire team agrees to take bargain contracts lol.

As there is no indication that Chargers would consider trading him and doubt if we could afford them both, this thread doesn't appear to have any purpose.

Had a request to reopen this thread as there are rumours apparently that he wants to come and play in SF. Can't believe it but ok, it will be reopened until we find out what is happening.

The rumor doesn't even make sense because even if he's a FA in 2021, they're just going to franchise him anyway. You could even make the case that Bosa is so good that, even if he refuses to sign a line term-deal, he's arguably worth franchising two years in a row.
