Trent Williams
Richard Sherman
Jaquiski Tartt
Kyle Jusczcyk

George Kittle extension is priority #1a with Trent Williams #1b. I wouldn't count on the 49ers signing a Deion Sanders type free agent next March.

I can see letting Sherm walk, and trying to develop Charlie Woener into Juszczyk's replacement

A lot of that can depend of several players/contracts. Does Sherman still play at an elite level? Then there's Kwon and Ford. If Greenlaw has a good season, and Kwon gets injured, does Kwon become expendable? Can Ford stay healthy to be worth 15 mil? Richburg is also another question mark going into that season, and probably Laken as well. Richburg is gonna cost us 12 mil in cap space, so he's probably gone.

Chances are at least 2 of those player won't be here next year which will open up some decent cap space.

I think Lynch wants Sherman around for as long as he can play. Juszczyk should be an easy contract to get done. Tartt is the one I think walks via free agency, unless it's team friendly.

Tartt will be pretty interesting. I think he's worth a bit less than Ward. And the way the safety position is being treated today in NFL, I don't think we will lose him. He will make 5-6 mil a year with a decent bonus. Hopefully we can keep him with on a 4 year 25 mil contract.

I was hoping Joey was a realistic scenario for us, but upon reading this thread, it looks very improbable he'll wind up with us. I can see the Chargers F-tagging him and offering more than we could afford. I was hoping maybe it's still a possibility if Dee Fords contact is off the books, but it doesn't look so promising now.

A tag and trade could work, but would require Bosa forcing his way out, and his agent being clear with teams that he won't sign a long term deal with anyone but the niners at fair market value; not likely to happen as he just gave away all leverage. But it depends on how badly he wants to win a Superbowl with his brother. I dont think lynch is the type to give up khalil mack level draft compensation, but maybe Dee Ford and a 1st? Would require some really good drafting for the secondary, but financially, could work. Ford's contract + increase in cap cover him. AA contract off the books by the time Nick Bosa needs his, and Kinlaw's comes as Joey is leaving the team to get his 3rd contract elsewhere after having won 3 championships with the niners.

Yeah, Agree -- the cap is a real limitation now - specially for a super bowl level team like ours. The cap is going to pretty much negate any compensation we can give Joey at his market value. I'm with you on the fact that he might take a one year discount to play with his brother for a super bowl championship, but unlikely he'd sacrifice more than one year to do that. He'll want a long term multiple year deal at his market value or above for that 3rd contract.

I think Sherm resigns to play Tartt's spot and to finish his career in SF.

No way Shanny lets Juice go, Woerner isn't anywhere near the player Juice is, and he's so important to the run game look what happened when he was hurt and Kittle, the run game suffered.

I doubt Sherm walks, he's still playing as an elite level.

As for Bosa, not happening.

I agree, I think Joey Bosa coming here are very long odds, but I can still hope and pray - after all a miracle did happen in the case of Jimmy G.

I can see Sherman moving to safety. There is a fullback on the team that has good odds to be on the practice squad this year. (Josh Hokit) man it would be so GREAT if he's another younger version of Juszczyk. Then we can trade Juice or at least save some cap space.

John Lynch has already stated that Sherman will be a 49er for a very long time. They aren't letting him walk.
