What Next for 2020 ??

We might look to sign a few bargains for depth/camp competition, maybe look at some former 1st/2nd rounders who didn't produce for their current side but have potential to break out with us.

Wouldn't expect any high profile signings though.

I'm thinking and hoping the same, sometimes its the system that hinders a guy and a change of scenery breaks him out. But I'm thinking this shud and will be our philosophy albeit, w/o 2nd. and 3rd. rd. picks , we might need to supplement the draft with players/positions we could have fortified with those said picks. And, perfect time to spend $$$ on our own guys. Armstead did NOT make the pro bowl, so we might be able to get him on a nice deal.
I realize most likely no big FA splashes. Given how much of a liability Spoon has been, Chris Harris Jr would be my one splash guy if we make one.

dude is probably looking for 1 last big paycheck, we cannot afford that especially on a 30 plus yr old cb

Probably right. salary wise. Still younger than Sherman and that worked out ok.

Harris reminds me of the once $80 million free agent CB that we signed...

DON'T WANT HIM !!

Nate Dog Clements!
If lynch thinks we are one guy away from a sb i dont see why we would not make a splash at fa.
While being in the doghouse everyone said "you only spend big in fa if you feel this gives you a shot to earn a ring."

Now what?
I would trust marathe to construct a friendly deal...

Imagine the liie of an OBJ next to kittle deebo and samuel

Depends on Staley's desire to return in 2020 and Richburgs recovery.

We need better interior run blocking and pass protection.

We also need to build a successor to Sherman at CB.

C/G, CB, EDGE depth and #2 TE would be the focus IMO - assuming we resign Sanders, Armstead, and Ward, while retaining Staley.

Add speed rusher. The impact was huge when Ford came back. We can't rely Ford being healthy all the time with his chronic issues.

I totally agree. I was targeting the best OL or corner prospect with our late pick or early second with a trade. Both Humphrey and the Stanford corner went back to school. At our spot now, it would probably be most valuable to gain future picks and pick up the best WR that slides to us.

I also like the idea of getting a young pass rusher and a number 2 TE to groom. Injuries of key players held us back in a few games this year. Re signing a guy to big money needs to be handcuffed to drafting young talent to learn behind him.
When we getting a 2020 FA list of players?

I agree with this, maybe in the following order though.

CB, OL, WR, S, RB, hell maybe even another TE, try to do what the pats almost did a few years ago with Gronk and Hernandez.

I want a receiver in the 1st round - Sanders has only got a couple of years left. And, that's if we re-sign him.
