Darius Slay

Just saw on ESPN That the Lions are shopping him. What do you guys think?

Hes a great player but we cant afford 15+ mil let alone trade for him.
Tag and trade, Armstead and a 5th for Slay and a 4th. (Age & position differential)

We have DL that can step in for AA maybe not as productive but upgrading our weakest position will more than make up for it.

I think I'd rather have AA, we all seen how a dominant pass rush has mad the secondary better.

This times a mil! I just don't see how we can absorb his contract yet let alone pull a trade off
We don't have trade assets or the cap space.

this, pass. great player but i prefer having a dominant pass rush with ok cbs, draft them and hope they become good and have them for cheap for 4 years or so and possibly pay them if theyre pro bowl caliber
Too expensive, put the money toward signing your own.
How about Thomas and Spoon for Slay? I know Thomas and Spoon eat up close to 7mill in cap and if we could extend Slay then this could work but it would be up to the Lions.

ya im sure the Lions would take 2 busts that worth 6th round picks for their multiple time pro bowl player.
If they move Slay, Seahawks seem like they'd be all over that.

God I hope so...please give up picks and pay him top money lol.

Then again they draft like trash so not really that big of a loss for them

Spoon was doing pretty good for us before he got hurt and he is still young, I know he didnt do so hot during the end of the season but I think a lot of that was trying to play catchup with the rest of the guys when he should have just eased himself into a complimentary role seeing how good Mosely was doing. So I think if given the off season to heal and a change of scenery he might shine. As for Thomas he has shown glimpses of being good he just needs a change to a defense that will help him show his talent. But the decision is up to the Lions.

We see it sorta differently. I think the additions of Bosa and Ford made AA better. Which would do so for other capable players as well. Again, as i previously stated, may not be as good as AA but respectable.

And i agree the pass rush made the secondary better but the turning point in the Superbowl was a mistake by one of our inexperienced CBs.

Slay and Sherm w/ Ford, Bosa, Buckner

Is better than Sherm and Moseley with our front 4 IMO.
