Alternative to AA

I'm sure AA is asking for 15+ Million annually and I'm unsure if I'd pay him that, this DE/DT free agency class is stacked with younger cheaper alternatives, 1 guy whos market value on Spotrac is way lower then AAs is Leonard Williams, who I personally think has has a better career, and would do the same damage with talent around him like the niners have, another is Shaq Lawson but here's a list of D-Line free agents and some market value according to spotrac, if AA is out of the niners price range who would you like to sign for cheaper ?

no thanks to signing another DL outside of our own. Williams is not great imo and he's gonna cost more than what spotrac anticipates.

Thing is AA can play both inside or outside. He fills two roles.

So you're ok with giving AA 15+ ? I can't wrap my head around it yet honestly, I just feel that the played around him created his great season and would create great season for a lot

We honestly don't know what his contract will be...I also don't think Williams will make less (or at least a lot less) than AA either.

The main reason I had the niners signing Williams in my mock is bc he would be cheaper by a ton according to Spotrac but if it's not accurate and both get around the same, assuming in the neighborhood of 15, I don't want neither at that price, Paraag is a genius and will figure it out but if it has any chance of the niners having a hard time signing our future stars then I'm tagging AA and trading him while I hope DJ Jones, Thomas, Street, Blair and Taylor step up which I think a full season of DJ Jones will make him another predicament next year bc he will ball out like AA did with this front.

Williams doesn't have the production to warrant AA money. He can sign a 2 year 24 mil contract, surround himself with elite talent, produce, and be a free agent at the prime age of 27 ready for a big contract. He absolutely can fill AA role at 3T and 5T

The answer was on the roster last season. Ronald Blair. Let AA walk, recoup a 3rd round compensatory selection in 2021, and sign Ronald Blair to an incentive based 4 year deal.He will not be as coveted because he is coming off an ACL.

He may walk, but he'll never have the impact he had lined alongside Buck, Bosa, and Ford. Not going to happen, I think he must know this. IMO it'll be easier to find someone to come close to AA's production versus him having the same level of production he had in SF in 2019 on any other team.

Resign Ronald Blair and Damontre Moore.

Hope that Solly breaks out enough to be a contributor and that Kentavius Street is viable in the rotation.

Ronald Blair cannot be counted on to finish the season healthy. Yes he should be re-signed no doubt, but they have to add another DE.

I'm on the franchise and trade AA train also! He's been totally inconsistent through his first 4 seasons! He had a great season but if he goes somewhere that he can be doubled he will look like the old AA! I understand he wants to get paid but if he's going to try to tax us after we stuck with him 5 years while he sucked I say tag and trade for a 2nd rounder! If he's asking more than $11-12 mill lynch should let him walk.
