Hope that Solly breaks out enough to be a contributor and that Kentavius Street is viable in the rotation.

A promising player coming off ACL, a guy who completely flamed out of the league and had to audition by playing AAF, a first round bust who has shown nothing, and a guy who has yet to play because of consecutive season ending injuries...iono man. Emphasis on the word hope haha. I'm also in the camp of trade AA, but you can't stop there. Most agree our team success last year was based on the strength of our DL, so we should do everything we can to keep it a strength.

Could be the best alternative..

I'm on the franchise and trade AA train also! He's been totally inconsistent through his first 4 seasons! He had a great season but if he goes somewhere that he can be doubled he will look like the old AA! I understand he wants to get paid but if he's going to try to tax us after we stuck with him 5 years while he sucked I say tag and trade for a 2nd rounder! If he's asking more than $11-12 mill lynch should let him walk.

AGREED!!!
We could keep AA, just sign him to say a 3yr 40mil deal where its structured for him to only get say 10 mil that first year which helps us out tremendously and then in future years when we have more cap room we give him 15 mil.

Why would AA take 3 years 40 mil instead of 5 years 75+ mil?

I get both sides but we have done a lot for him and are a great team. I'm sure he's weighing all options about money, team and where to live. I'd take less money to stay in SF compared to going to a crappy team/city.

I think he would take 3 years 40 mil if he loves the team as he says and that is what they are offering in order to try to keep the squad together. If the Niners can afford the 5 years 75mil I still think that first year should be at a lower number and the last year would probably either be a team or player option.
Get ready to lock this bad boy. We are close to bringing AA back real quick!

Because he's only 26 years old and he would still have a chance to get his big money contract when this deal expires and he will still be under 30 years of age.
Lock it up
Lol y'all were tripping...oh but "if you like the team, you should take 45 million less dollars! That's what I would do!". This was his chance for a big contract, and he got it.
