Like NC said not get worse or at least try to improve in areas that needed to be improved...instead they got worse there as well.

I understand the Buck move BUT if you're gonna do that at the very least bring in a vet (who will cost substantially less) to take on some meaningful snaps. They haven't done that yet.

If Brunskill is the answer at RG, then why the f**k wasn't he the starting RG in the Super Bowl? Person played a big part in that loss. I know Compton won't be the starter, but it's a drop in talent which is hard to do when moving on from Person

Bringing in Benji doesn't do anything for anyone, like others have said it's basically our Matthews signing. Cool.

In my last mock I stated I was expecting little in FA and I knew it would mostly be about resigning our own. Ain't nobody expecting the Buck move though...that freed up $13M right off the bat. They could have signed a guy like Harris Jr and Gerald McCoy with that new money.

They may be looking to the draft to fill the Buck void with that #13 pick. But, I agree - it maybe too little, too late.

That would suck...having to use real draft capital on trying to replace Buckner...because you chose to trade him leaving a huge void. That's a net loss there too.

Yeah this is pathetic we could've easily gotten an interior defensive tackle to help with the loss of Buckner, a corner like a trufant or some of the others signed would not of been a bad idea as well. I understand not signing Peat on the IOL because he was a rip off but come on.

Even if most of you feel like we were being prudent, keep in mind our salary cap position next year it will be close to 60 million so we could've easily restructured one more contract or let go of a player or two to compensate for signing a good player to help our team immediately.

We're forgetting the Saints improved their roster and so did Seattle. We still have to try to outscore teams like Kansas City Seattle or the Saints or if we play Baltimore In the Super Bowl we still have to put up points against their good defense. It's not just about our team it's about who we will be facing and how they improved their teams While we remain idle And rely on our rookie class to make an immediate impact? Yeah how often does that work out

I'm not convinced that the Saints got better. They lost Von Bell, Klein and Bridgewater while gaining Emmanuel Sanders.

And with less cap than us.

Saints cap space: $2,246,100 (per Spotrac)

Players under contract: 58 (per Spotrac)

Team needs: QB, G, WR, LB, CB, S, FB

Here's a look at the team's moves so far, which will be updated constantly.

Also, they maybe looking to fill the void with Thomas - that's supposedly his natural position. Let's see how that turns out before we hammer the FO for trading away Buckner.

That would be awful imo. You basically get worse at DT, don't improve at other positions (That needed upgrades) and didn't spend any of that freed up cash by moving Buck to improve at any position.

Hey now they called Benji...along with naming 5 other WRs in connection to SF Pretty easy to get one right every once in a while when you have 15 players linked to every team lol.

It's pretty obvious what they're doing. Him and a couple other dudes are following every beat writer and nfl insider, then just going off what is being "reported" that's all fine, just don't act like you have inside sources because they don't lol

Well I'm not sure if it was a lucky guess but they did report this

Was it a net loss when they drafted McGlinchy and traded Brown. I know you are going to cry not a scheme fit blah blah blah. But no it was not a loss it was an excellent move.

Ian Rappaport talked about it before they posted it.

I would be really excited to get Dareus, I think he would be a nice piece for us, excellent against the run.
Harris makes too much sense

What about Timmy Jernigan?

Even. Lost on pass protection big time but gained in OZ run blocking. And then Kyle decided to add a ton of IZ, man, power, etc...all things TB was great at. LOL. But at least they didn't have to pay Brown's contract...like Buckner!
