Bringing in one of Harris or Dareus would be a solid move...won't hold my breath.

They gotta do something they lost 1,130 snaps between Buck/Day

This. Been banging the table for Harris for a week now. Solid football player but not holding my breath either.

Who do you think the best interior defensive tackle available? Overall against the run/pass. I prefer the best pass rusher out of them

As far as fa Shelby Harris is the best available out there overall imo. He played terrific two years ago in a rotational role so Denver increased his snap count last year and made him the starter. He wasn't as effective as the year before but still had a nice season and was above average imo. Finished with a respectable 6 sacks as well.

Led his position at deflected passes (DP )sign me up wow. Super impressed and he didn't play a ton of snaps. Lynch get on the f**king phone and sign this guy..... unless you want Seattle to get him

Harris is the #1 FA right now I'd hope the Niners would sign. I wonder how much he'd cost - more or less than what Suh got?

I would say 6-7 mil. And since we keep missing out on players like the center that went to the Jets and also Suh I would like to maybe spend one extra f**king million to lock in a player that we absolutely need.

If DJ Jones was a model of Health and Solomon Thomas was not such a bust or an underachiever, I would not be banging the table for this guy. But we need him especially since we saw what deflected passes can do to a team

Agreed. Jones has shown continuous improvement in the middle but he has to stay healthy. Thomas, we're all really hoping he can show much more this year. Yet given these two question marks along with the other losses on the DL and I'm really hoping they can bring in a good, disruptive vet DT like Shelby Harris.

I think they do something before the draft. Since it's reported that we were talking to Suh, it seems they want to add starting caliber DT help. A one year prove it deal could also do wonders for a DT in this system, because they are likely to put up favorable numbers with the amount of attention that will go elsewhere. Seems like a safe gamble for any DT that is in a position to earn another big contract.

Yeah all is forgiven if we get Harris. I really hope we get this guy. John Lynch likes Denver so let's hope he favors this guy over Dareus. I'm sick of being the bridesmaid never the bride 👰

They may be looking to the draft to fill the Buck void with that #13 pick. But, I agree it maybe too little too late.

That would suck...having to use real draft capital on trying to replace Buckner...because you chose to trade him leaving a huge void. That's a net loss there too.

Was it a net loss when they drafted McGlinchy and traded Brown. I know you are going to cry not a scheme fit blah blah blah. But no it was not a loss it was an excellent move.

Even. Lost on pass protection big time but gained in OZ run blocking. And then Kyle decided to add a ton of IZ, man, power, etc...all things TB was great at. LOL. But at least they didn't have to pay Brown's contract...like Buckner!
Even? Maybe play wise but tb will cost the raiders 21.5mill this year and mm will cost 5.092 that's a difference of 16.4 million. That's the difference of having multiple players that are currently under contract with this team.

Which is why I was perfectly fine with the Buckner trade. What did the FO do with the $ they saved by not having to pay TB?

This FO was preparing for this offseason early on. They have been signing players since January. They knew they were not going to be big players in free agency we all knew they were not going to be big players. But to say that they have done nothing is wrong. If you have been watching they have added players with potential since January and if they hit on two or three for depth and rotational players its a win. Some of the players they have added. Jonathan kongbo de, Alex Barrett de, Henry Willie dt, was a player I thought would've helped before the super bowl. Ray Smith dt, Teez Tabor db, Jermaine Kelly db, Derrick Kindred db, Jacob Thieneman db, Chris Edwards db, Jake Brendel C, Jaryd Jones Smith OT, Leonard Wester ot, Kofi Amichia ot, Joey Alfieri lb. there are some interesting players in this early grouping and they are still going to be adding by the draft.

I'm big on trying to ID these diamonds in the rough myself too but this is no different than any other team in the NFL...they are just filling out the 90 and hoping a Brunskill emerges. For sure.

The FO is just 14 players from filling out the 90. I love your overall premise though. These players shouldn't be dismissed. If there's one thing this FO has proved on personnel, they are terrific from 5th - PS players.
Can we just sign one good f**king free agent during the second wave? Not depth!!! It's not too much to ask, these guys are relatively cheap. Just sign Harris or Dareus. Enough of this s**t already

He's a slot corner and Williams is a much better player so I doubt we even bother. I just wish we get a defensive tackle already
The Colts signed Xavier Rhodes that's not a bad signing I know he's been s**tty the last two years but he should be better than what they have. They are really improving their team and Philip Rivers now seems to be the only person that can hold them back.

How f**king sad is that whole first round CBs from that class. Like it gradually gets better the later your were drafted in that class. If only Jason woulda stayed healthy

Them not signing Brady is a huge head scratcher for me. Wasn't the difference like 5mill.

Didn't know he was just a slot DB?

That was a great signing, three years ago.

He's awful. Imo his career at CB is done.

He played some outside I believe here in there maybe because of injury but he was primarily a slots. I know he was drafted to be an outside corner I believe so you're right in that respect.
