If SF is unwilling to throw that kind of cash at someone like Wolfe then they're simply not gonna invest in any meaningful FA this yr.

Time to move on to the draft

Damn...need to check the acquisitions but it feels like the Ravens are pushing hard to close the gap on the Chiefs.

They basically replaced Brockers with Wolfe. If Wolfe stays healthy it's a better move. Just riskier with his injuries.

This. Pretty much over it at this point. Draft it is.

I agree. I think they make a few more moves, but it won't be any big names, just competition for depth. It seems like they are on to the draft and maybe they'll take a look when more cuts happen after.

Yup. I still can't believe wolfe and Harris came with less than 5 million each. That is ridiculous for their production. Dareus Is an option but at this point I think DJ Jones might be a little better. On to the draft it is

Talking all their off season moves. Maybe not?
Well fans, it's been...ummmmm...fun.

What's really interesting is usually when a team loses a big visual player, they instantly have a plan B in mind and move on it quickly. For such a huge move as moving Buckner, you'd think they'd have some kind of plan B free agent to help take the sting off the move for the fan base (and themselves regarding talent).

I think plan B was already having a glut of talent on the DL and leveraging that to get #13 to fill other needs while creating both cap and draft flexibility.

No question...I'm talking straight personnel. I'd cry if they used 13 on a DT simply just to replace Buckner. But it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I actually would be surprised. Would be anti-climatic. Use the pick to improve WR. Or OL. I could even kind of see CB. But drafting a D-lineman?

As much as I would line to get Darius, it seems clear that the plan is to see what we have with Thomas, Jones, Street, and Taylor next to Armstead. I'm not defending the front office, but we don't know who they are trying to sign. Time will tell.

I agree it has to be one combo of either WR and OL or WR and CB as those position groups need the most help. Sure I know we lost Buck but if we fixed these position groups in the draft with the first 2 picks by picking either way then the loss of Buck won't be as bad especially if those guys come in and play like Deebo did.
Meanwhile we're paying our 3rd best RBs $5 million.

Doesn't make sense at all.
Any truth behind the Pettis trade to Eagles for Rasul Douglas?

Yeah I'm checking out I'm pretty damn disappointed we did not at least get a tackle to replace or actually help replace some of Buckner's production. Really really disappointed and I'm over it. Harris or wolfe would've done just fine. Let's just hope somebody takes some of the good available defensive ends, somebody from outside our f**king division please

Well they are shopping him. Don't like that he's on the last year of his contract.
