They have even less. We should be thinkin bout some trades though to get Kwon and Ford off the books. Could get some steals in FA due to some cap casualties from the lowered cap. Plus neither of them are even playing and they're 2 of the top 5 highest paid players on the team.

You can always off load in the off season, 49ers need bodies and talent out there.

I feel like if he show he's healthy after he returns, we could probably ship him to someone like Miami or Jax.

Oh yeah, definitely. I'd rather have him healthy and can contribute before getting shipped out. Only drives the price up if he looks good.

I thought we just had close to eight or $9 million after restructuring Ford's contract? I really wanted to try to trade for Alex Mack from the Falcons because he has previous experience with Shanahan and the guy is not that injury prone even though he's getting up there in age. He would be well worth it because obviously we can't be playing with a back up center or now a third or fourth string center for two years straight. It's ridiculous

I would have sent a 2nd rounder for this guy. He is a sure thing. He has 5 sacks already on the year.

In before the we only have 31k of salary cap people start barking...
