I always giggled last year when I kept hearing how great of a coordinator Greg Roman was.

Did he demand a trade again? I don't see how they could do this especially with their D being horrendous and Danielle Hunter out for the year.

They're 1-5 with the bears 5-1 and packers 4-1 so yah or maybe they realized ngakoue wasn't worth the money he was gonna command and might as well get something back.

I thought I saw he's on a 12mil 1 yr deal. But I do question how they can afford this too.

Building the Defensive Line with great players. What a great strategy. Better to spend those dollars while you can on the Defensive Line. It makes everyone else better on the backend. Like we seen with our 49ers last year.
The Ravens are all in on stopping Henry and the Titans and the Chiefs.

Nkagoue is not the answer to improving their run D.

Isnt Lamar still under his rookie deal? I'm sure that helps.

What in the hell just happened. First they got Calais Campbell then they get this guy? They just bought a championship! Even though their quarterback has regressed and they're OL isn't that good as well as the running backs I think they're the favorite to win now. Oh my s**t the Vikings are so damn stupid and why did the ravens keep making these trades? I'll give it to their general manager How are they affording this?
Lamars on a rookie contract still
True but they are paying out the ass for a lot of players. Campbell Ngakoue and didn't they franchise tag Judon? Pay Peters and Humphrey at cb? That qb contract must be it but damn, they have a line like ours (except their healthy) must be nice bc their qb is playing like garbage
They're gonna have to pay Stanley a f**k ton in the off season...he will be the highest paid LT. Mark Andrews gonna need to get paid as well. I'm not sure if they plan to give Yannick and extension either?
I think he's talented, but overall he hasn't been amazing this yr.
Ngakoue's 11% pass rush win rate as an edge player ranks 32nd out of 47 qualifiers this season.

(ESPN stat, Next Gen Stats data) https://t.co/XZ9YC8NXTx
also people bring up his "sack" numbers BUT we need to realize how those sacks come about (that's why I don't like to use sack numbers as the only justification if a guy is a great pass rusher).
I believe it's a smart way to frame them because it adds context.

Quick example of a "low" vs. "high" quality sack from the same player: Yannick Ngakoue
Shows up on the stat-sheet the same, but they each say very different things about the rusher. https://t.co/78wnIApJNu pic.twitter.com/CoAiYFuJ0t
The first one is a coverage sack. Ngakoue simply stuck w/the play and a sack was gifted to him. Not predictive for future production + doesn't provide value in his eval.

Second one is an outstanding rush beating a high-caliber player demonstrating several impressive traits.
